JOGOS ELETRÔNICOS E A BUSCA DA EXCITAÇÃO

No ramo do entretenimento, a industria dos jogos eletronicos foi a que mais cresceu na ultima decada, tendo atraido atencao de pesquisadores de diversas areas, dentre elas a Educacao Fisica. Por que os jogos eletronicos tem despertado tamanho interesse como opcao de lazer para criancas, jovens e adultos? Neste estudo pretendemos discutir sobre uma possivel forma de interpretar, a partir da teoria de Norbert Elias e Eric Dunning, os jogos eletronicos como opcao de lazer, utilizando como ferramenta auxiliar questionarios respondidos por individuos que jogam videogames. A intencao e tecer algumas reflexoes que colaborem para o entendimento desta pratica ludica.

E ASSIM CRIOU-SE A REDE: ASPECTOS TÉCNICOS, POLÍTICOS E EPISTEMOLÓGICOS ENVOLVIDOS NA CRIAÇÃO E DESENVOLVIMENTO DA REDE CEDES

This study investigates the technical, political and epistemological aspects related to the emergence and development of the Network Cedes in Brazil, based on documents, publications and interviews with managers involved in the Network. The analysis led us, ultimately, to advance the understanding of the logical operation of two distinct social spaces in the beginning - to the political / bureaucratic and scientific / academic - who now relate on the basis of one share of the Brazilian federal government.

A BIOGRAFIA ESCRITA POR REILA GRACIE E AS FONTES JORNALÍSTICAS: REVISANDO A HISTÓRIA HEGEMÔNICA

This research discusses the narratives developed in the 2008 biography Carlos Gracie: o criador de uma dinastia and the perspective spread by some Rio de Janeiro-based newspapers during the early 20 th century on the establishment of jiu jitsu and inter-fight competitions in Brazil. Therefore, we used methodological frameworks about the particularities of biographical and journalistic sources. From the analysis of those sources, it is possible to think about the hypothesis that Reila Gracie used an invented tradition, through biography and its peculiar fictional dimension, thus establishing the Gracie family as a pioneer in jiu-jitsu and inter-fight competitions in Brazil.

A crônica esportiva de José Lins do Rego: política, paixão e relações de força

Two major aspects of Jose Lins do Rego’s chronicles were the reference to soccer and the establishment of a dialogue (or discussion) with his intellectual circle. The influence of Gilberto Freyre and Mario Filho were the most prominent ones, but Rego had many other dialogic counterparts. Thus, this paper aims to understand Jose Lins do Rego’s stand in his sports chronicles at the same time it sheds light on the exchange of ideas within the Brazilian intelligentsia. Ultimately, we conclude that Jose Lins’ chronicles, full of rationality and passion, have played multiple roles when related to the Brazilian intellectual production.

World of warcraft como prática de lazer: sociabilidade e conflito "em jogo" no ciberespaço

World of Warcraft is a digital game very well-known and played worldwide. In the virtual world of the game, thousands of people connected to the internet come together to interact, relate and share the experience of playing. This text is a summary of the main findings of ethnographic research that addressed the gameas a practical leisure and from the perspective of the players. Among the main topics discussed are issues related to performance, competition, sociability and violence.

Talent development and ecology of practice in aprofessional club

Abstract This study attempts to explore sports participation, dominant relationships and contextual influences in a professional environment through the perspective of social actors within the club. Participant observation, semi-structured interviews alongside with a field diary were the instruments used to assess how the interpersonal context, competitive environment and the organisational structure impact on youth sports participation. This study has demonstrated a twofold reality, how weak organisation and good coaching create a climate that has direct implications on youth sports participation. Indeed, results show that youth competitive climate and the search for status recognition, desire and uncertainty of professionalisation are the main characteristics of this environment. Researchers also acknowledged the fact that the main relationships carried out in these environments are the coach-athlete dyad in a way to foster a more pronounced mastery climate. Coach and parents are important positive assets in talent development, as well as the overall organisation. Significant others perceive the athletes’ competitive and professional disposition to train, to compete and to be in a constant search for sport performance. These results suggest new avenues of research in the way of youth sports talent management and the search for sports contextual change agents. Implications for applied practitioners and researchers are explored.

A dimensão social de um clube desportivo de bairro nos subúrbios do Porto e percepção dos outros significantes na sua construção

Ethnographic nature study of a social club situated in a peripheral urban area reveals that exist a sum of variables relevant to analyze social participation and constraints in organized sport. Using participant observation, semi-structured interviews and documental analysis with key informants in this sport organization over a period of one year, the research team obtained promising outcomes related to the social function that sport should place. Implications of the other significant in sport development were discussed. Public politics need to address the roots within these structural forces in youth sport as pointed in the study. This study points ways in order to understand the structure and processes on the social function equation in a formation club situated in a social.

As interferências do Estado brasileiro no futebol e o estatuto de defesa do torcedor

The main thematic of this article deals with the possible historic interferences of the Brazilian state in the structure of soccer and the incorporation of the Fan Defense Statute. We pointed out in this journey, since the decree - Law 3.199/41 until the last action of the federal government: decree - law 10.671/2003 - Fan Defense Statute. To better understand these relations, this study is limited to games of the first and second division of the Brazilian Championship of 2006 and 2007, both occurred at Curitiba - PR. This research has been the object of study of the National Secretariat of the Development of Sport and Leisure, of the Sport Ministry trough the program called Fan Observatory and developed by the nucleus of REDE CEDES.

Resenha do livro “A Animação Cultural: conceitos e propostas” de Victor Andrade de Melo

Animacao Cultural e uma ferramenta pedagogica que pode ser empregada em diferentes contextos e espacos sociais e que possui uma finalidade clara de intervencao. Instaura-se a partir do desejo de modificar a realidade e da compreensao de que uma atuacao dentro desta perspectiva pode ser uma importante ferramenta para essa conquista. Com a estrategia de acao fundamentada na ideia de mediacao, visa uma formacao societaria mais justa, igualitaria e democratica, com os individuos respeitando e mediando suas diferencas; reconhecendo e explorando suas possibilidades criativas e de obtencao de prazer; e posicionando-se de maneira ativa e critica perante a sociedade.

Futebol, escape e mímesis: um estudo sobre representações sociais

O presente texto procura revelar o esquema de orientacao (configuracao) entre tempo tedioso, futebol, mimesis e cotidiano, mediante a analise dos discursos dos moradores da COHAB de Presidente Prudente/SP. Primeiramente, efetuaremos analises acerca de pontos especificos sobre as representacoes sociais; posteriormente, explicitaremos uma analise sintetica sobre as representacoes sociais do futebol que apontam para o sentido do escape, com base nas contribuicoes de Norbert Elias, Eric Dunning e Roberto da Matta.
