Summary report — The UCI workshop on new directions for circuit and systems research: Relevant to electronic circuit applications

The results of a two day workshop held in April 1976 at the University of California, Irvine, are summarized. Concentration at the meeting was on the subject areas of: Solid State Circuit Design; Modeling, Computer Aided Design, and Simulation; and Microprocessors and Their Applications. A review of the results of this workshop three years later reveals that although a great deal of progress has been made, many of the issues brought up at the workshop are still of active research interest.
