Elliott, and Dirk Trauner* In our paper, we reported the catalytic oxa 6 π-electrocyclization of compound59 to yield pyran27 (Schemes 16 and 17). Unfortunately, the structure of 59was misassigned. On the basis of a comparison with model systemA, whose structure was unequivocally confirmed by X-ray crystallography, we have reassigned the structure of compound 59 as its isomerB. This isomer is presumably in equilibrium with the originally assigned structure under the reaction conditions.
