The origins of systemic high blood pressure has been studied from a wide array of different approaches. Researches suggests a very close connection between social environment stressors and all the manifestations of the disease itself. The present study deals with relevant social stressors that might be related to the high rates of high blood pressure found among the inhabitants of Vila Nossa Senhora de Fatima, a poor neighborhood in Porto Alegre, Brasil. A naturalização da pobreza: reflexões sobre a formação do pensamento social

Neste trabalho investiga-se como a ideologia neoliberal pode influenciar a formacao do pensamento social contemporâneo no que se refere a estrutura socioeconomica brasileira. Para tanto, procura-se refletir criticamente sobre algumas proposicoes que estao presentes na vida cotidiana e incorporadas em nossa linguagem, tais como o conceito de pobreza, a sobrevaloracao da pratica do voluntariado, o mercado em torno do sofrimento humano com a ampliacao do Terceiro Setor, entre outras. Embora, nas ultimas decadas, o campo de estudo e de intervencao sobre a pobreza e os seus impactos tenha sido ampliado pelo Estado e pela sociedade civil, a hipotese defendida neste artigo e a de que muitos desses discursos, aparentemente a favor da reducao da desigualdade social, tendem a legitimar a manutencao da pouca mobilidade social e, consequentemente, a aceitacao e naturalizacao da pobreza no cotidiano.

The following paper approaches issues related to the Community Social Psychologys construction in Brazil and the interactions of this historical process with the professional preparation. For this purpose, the Brazilian historical and social context is taken into consideration in order to reach effective psychological practices in communities. In addition, it associates Community Social Psychologys characteristics with the professional preparation and the Psychologys construction. Finally, this paper considers reflections about the professional preparation and contemporaries social phenomena.

Construcionismo social na atenção básica: uma revisão integrativa

This study sets out to analyze scientific articles in order to investigate how researchers in the area of Social Constructionism define “health” in Primary Health Care. An integrative review of the literature was conducted along with a decision to concentrate on those works with narrative experiences and research studies. The database researched was the Brazilian Virtual Health Library, with experiences in the scope of Primary Health Care. The effectiveness of this step resulted in 12 articles. Data were analyzed and discussed based on the perspectives of social constructionism, which generated two central themes. They were: citizenship exercises – promoting health in collective spaces; health practices – overcoming the dichotomies and absolute truths. This study revealed the relevance of the notion of shared responsibility on meanings of health contained in the texts analyzed. The researchers claim that it is possible to expand health practices into collective action to facilitate ongoing dialogue between health users and workers. However, the dominance of biomedical discourse is criticized by the researchers, because that paradigm still promotes practices of care focused on illness.

A psicologia na assistência social: transitar, travessia

This article reports a research on the processes of articulation between the construction of psychological practices and social assistance. The study was carried out through life narratives and professionals of psychology that work or have worked in the field of Social Assistance since the 1990s in the city of Porto Alegre, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. The collection and analysis of these narratives was used as methodological strategy, As a methodological strategy, the collection and analysis of narratives was used, have as referencial theoretician, the social constructionist. Among the obtained results, the mismatch between the training and the professional performance can be highlighted and finally, the idea that the public politics of social assistance is a poorly explored crossing to the other social politics.

O labirinto e o minotauro: saúde mental na Atenção Primária à Saúde

The article aims to discuss the issue of integration of mental health in primary care by matrix support in mental health. We point out the main barriers in the use of this work method, as well as the facilitating factors of the matrix support of mental health in primary care. The first are within the scope of epistemological specificities, professional issues and management in the political and ideological dimensions. Among the second, we highlight: the care for people with mental disorders in the territory; the reduction of stigma and discrimination; the development of new skills for professionals in primary care; reduction of costs; simultaneous treatment of physical and mental illness, which often overlap; the possibility of incorporating mental health care in a perspective of extended clinical service using an inter/transdisciplinary approach.The article aims to discuss the issue of integration of mental health in primary care by matrix support in mental health. Reflexões acerca da gestão em saúde em um município do sul do Brasil

Este artigo busca aprofundar o conhecimento acerca de conceitos de gestao na saude coletiva e refletir sobre praticas na area, com base na experiencia de Sapucaia do Sul (RS). Considerando a complexidade inerente a proposta do Sistema Unico de Saude (SUS), o texto articula teorias que dao visibilidade para modos de gestao que contemplem acoes macro e micropoliticas, fortalecendo a efetivacao dos principios do SUS. Nesse sentido, encontrou-se inspiracao no pensamento de Koselleck e Morin como potencializador da analise. A contribuicao de Morin se da por meio de operadores conceituais da Teoria da Complexidade, que apontam movimentos de articulacao, interacao e transformacao. Ja Koselleck proporciona as seguintes categorias: espacos de experiencia e horizontes de expectativas, favorecendo a reflexao, devido a enfase sobre a analise da construcao dos significados dos conceitos em contexto. Desafios de gestao sao apresentados em relacao a funcao de administrar, planejar e otimizar interesses do estado e de consumo da saude, articulando a dimensao politica com a tecnico-cientifica. Nesse sentido, pode ser observado um planejamento em saude que envolve a implementacao do apoio institucional, o incentivo a participacao popular e o desenvolvimento de acoes de educacao permanente em saude que resultam em um cuidado mais humanizado. E importante, ainda, avancar em estudos que identifiquem bases epistemologicas na gestao da saude para favorecer a identificacao de teorias que possam influenciar e justificar tecnicamente as decisoes politicas, abrindo espacos dialogicos democraticos para alcancar avancos no SUS.

This paper intends to start from the title question to investigate the relationship of contemporary women with the feminisms. We developed this text in order to understand the prejudices and stereotypes that surround this political and social movement, as well the activists and the feminist psychologists. We used the non systematic literature review, the feminist perspective and the problematizations formulated by thinkers interested in this theme.
