Nearest tourism site searching using Haversine method

Indonesia is a rich country that has plenty of tourism sites which becomes the main attraction for traveller. The recreational trip can be done alone or in groups with or without using a traveling agencies. For people who are beginners at visiting tourist site, of course, have to dig deeper into the information about the recreational places. This can be a problem for tourists, especially for those who visited a certain area for first time. To minimize these problem, nearest recreational location searching can provide assistance to traveller in finding the required information and choose a recreational object to be visited. The recreation guide application provides the output of the distance between two objects. Tourism site used in this study is the tourism site of Samarinda city. There are 13 tourism sites, which divided into three types of recreation, the outdoor recreation, artificial recreation, and recreational buildings. The method used to search the nearest recreational location based on the users location is Haversine method. The results of this research is to help the user to find the nearest tourism site to the location of the user and rank the locations by distance.

Simple Additive Weighting to Diagnose Rabbit Disease

Rabbit is one of the many pets maintained by the general public in Indonesia. Like other pet, rabbits are also susceptible to various diseases. Society in general does not understand correctly the type of rabbit disease and the way of treatment. To help care for sick rabbits it is necessary a decision support system recommendation diagnosis of rabbit disease. The purpose of this research is to make the application of rabbit disease diagnosis system so that can help user in taking care of rabbit. This application diagnoses the disease by tracing the symptoms and calculating the recommendation of the disease using Simple Additive Weighting method. This research produces a web-based decision support system that is used to help rabbit breeders and the general public.

APLIKASI KRIPTOGRAFI PESAN SHORT MESSAGE SERVICE PADA SMARTPHONE BERBASIS ANDROID DENGAN METODE PLAYFAIR CIPHER

The current technological developments, allows humans to communicate and exchange information remotely. Along with the demands for security against the confidentiality of the information exchanged is increasing. Therefore, it is developing branch of science that studies on ways of securing data or better known as cryptography. Playfair cipher method is one method for text encoding cryptography. This study aims to develop an application of cryptography SMS (Short messsage Service) on the android based smartphone with Playfair cipher method, which can send SMS messages cryptography and receive text messages encrypted and then decrypted. These applications do cryptography in text form letters. The key used in the form of letters. The results of this study are in the form of android-based application that can make sending SMS messages that have been encrypted using the Playfair cipher method, so that the confidentiality of the message can be gated. Keywords : Cryptography, SMS, Smartphone, Android, Playfair Cipher. Perkembangan teknologi sekarang ini, memungkinkan manusia dapat berkomunikasi dan dapat bertukar informasi secara jarak jauh. Seiring dengan itu tuntutan akan keamanan terhadap kerahasiaan informasi yang saling dipertukarkan tersebut semakin meningkat. Oleh karena itu, dikembangkanlah cabang ilmu yang mempelajari tentang cara-cara pengamanan data atau lebih dikenal dengan Kriptografi. Metode playfair cipher merupakan salah satu metode kriptografi untuk penyandian teks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun suatu aplikasi kriptografi pesan SMS (Short Messsage Service) pada smartphone berbasis android dengan metode playfair cipher, yang dapat mengirim kriptografi pesan SMS dan menerima pesan teks terenkripsi yang kemudian didekripsi. Aplikasi ini melakukan kriptografi pada teks berupa huruf. Kunci yang digunakan berupa huruf. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah berupa aplikasi berbasis android yang dapat melakukan pengiriman pesan SMS yang telah terenkripsi menggunakan metode playfair cipher, sehingga kerahasiaan dari pesan tersebut dapat terjaga keamanannya. Kata kunci : Kriptografi, SMS, Smartphone, Android, Playfair Cipher.

Decision support system for new employee recruitment using weighted product method

Companies need new employees that are expected to meet the assessment of each criteria. The criteria set by the company is expected to become a quality standard for the employees own personal progress. One of the problems in the recruitment of new employees is the problem of subjectivity in the decision for the determination of a new employee candidates. The research objective is to facilitate decision-making on issues related to making decision of new employees recruitment. Processing of data on research using Weighted Product methods with the concept of multiplication to connect rating attributes which should be raised to advance with the relevant weights. The criteria used in the research of new employees recruitment taken in general that is flexible in the sense that can be added or the opposite of education, GPA, work experience, interview and test basic skills. Results of the research is a decision support system application web-based recruitment of new employees who provide information to the last of the top-ranked candidate new employees as consideration for taking the right decision and is expected to simplify the process of decision the best.

Expert system applications for early diagnosis teeth and oral disease in children

Teeth and mouth disease is one of the most common health problems complained by Indonesian society. Especially for children who still lack the awareness to maintain oral health and busy parents who sometimes causing delays in the handling of oral health in children. The purpose of this research is to make the application of expert system for the diagnosis of teeth and oral diseases in children. This application diagnoses diseases with using method of forward chaining and Bayes Theorem. The methods are to create a decision tree, then do a search with forward chaining, and calculating values by the method of Bayesian probability. The results of research in the form of expert system applications that can diagnose oral disease in children with enough accuracy can help in addressing the problem of oral diseases in children.

Analytical hierarchy process for land suitability analysis

In the Agricultural Development Zone in East Kalimantan, inefficient land use is continuing to occur. Many of land utility planned by individual or by group of local farmers still using traditional way, in identification of suitable crops for their farm. The method used is based on their experience and their ancestor guidance. It is important to formulate scientific method that can help to recommend suitable crops for specific land in order to help reduce inefficient use of land used for farming. This study introduce the concept of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) in analytical study of land suitability, thus can help decision-makers to determine suitable crops for certain area. Using AHP to determine the best crop from four alternatives that used in this study, the result obtained from this study has shown that Cassava is the most suitable crop for the farm land that analyzed in this study, followed by Soybean on the second place.
