Anisotropy of the kondo scattering of dilute Zn(Mn) alloy in the de haas-van alphen experiment

Abstract In the de Haas-van Alphen experiments on Zn-0.005 at. % Mn alloy, anisotropy of the Kondo scattering is found by the measurements of the temperature dependence of the Dingle temperature of the conduction electrons, which belong to the longest period Fermi surface of zinc.

Structure of synthetic Li 2 (Mg,Cu)Cu 2 ([Si 2 O 6 ] 2 ; a unique chain silicate related to pyroxene

Abstract A unique Cu-bearing chain silicate, Li2(Mg,Cu)Cu2[Si2O6]2, was synthesized, and the structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. The structure was found to be triclinic, space group P1̄, with unit-cell parameters a = 5.7068(7), b = 7.4784(9), c = 5.2193(3) Å, α = 99.911(8), β = 97.436(8), γ = 84.52(1)°, and Z = 1. The arrangement of zweier single chains, [Si2O6], differs significantly from chain arrangements in the pyroxene and pyroxenoid structures, and the “I-beam” description of the pyroxene structure is not applicable. The structure may be classified as a new derivative type of the pyroxene structure, with an “oblique I-beam”. Cu atoms are coordinated by four O atoms in a square-planar arrangement with 1.94-2.00 Å for Cu-O and two O atoms with longer Cu-O distances of 2.41-2.92 Å, consistent with the crystal-field stabilization of the d9 electronic structure of Cu2+. The square-planar CuO4 units form a [CunO2n+2] ribbon with n = 3 in the structure, which is also found in Cu-bearing chain silicates such as shattuckite and planchéite with n > 3. Mg is octahedrally coordinated by O atoms, but the configuration is affected by the partial replacement by Cu.

Relationship of the Size between Udder and Rump in Jersey Cows

比較的閉鎖された集団である群馬県神津牧場のジヤージー種牛について泌乳中の成雌牛35頭を用い,写真測定により乳房各部の大きさの近似値と尻各部の大きさを測つた.それぞれ相互間および両者の間の相関を単純相関の外,当日乳量,泌乳中の時期,産次の影響を除いた偏相関より調べ,審査上の意義を明らかにすると共に,級間級内分散分析により表型に対する父母の影響を計算し,遺伝の関与の有無を推定した.その結果(1) 乳房各部,尻各部の大きさに及ぼす当日乳量,泌乳期,産次の3要因の影響は相関値より見て,乳房に対しては当日乳量が最も高く,次で産次で+05ないし+0.6であり,泌乳期の影響は小さい,尻部では余り影響はないが,当日乳量,産次がほぼ同等の影響をしている部位もあり,その場合も+0.3くらいの相関であり,泌乳期の影響は小さい.(2) 乳房各部の大きさの間の単純相関値はかなり高く+0.5~+0.9であるが,偏相関値ではやや小さくなり,部位により異なるが+0.3~+0.8で概ね有意であつた.容積については巾,後面積との相関が特に高く+0.8以上を示した.前後左右の乳頭間隔はそれぞれ乳房の長さ,巾ひいては面積,容積と有意の正相関がある.乳房下傾斜は乳房長,巾と負の相関があり,前後乳区の不均称は乳房の大きさに不都合であることを示している.(3) 尻各部の大きさの間の相関も,単純では概ね+0.5以上の有意の相関があり,偏相関ではやや低くはなるが,乳房の大きさの場合程の減少でなく+0.4以上を示した.(4) 乳房各部と尻各部との大きさの間の相関は,単純では長さ同士,巾同士および乳房の関係面積で+0.4~+0.6の有意の相関を示したが,偏相関では一般に値が小さくなり,+0.2~+0.4となつて有意でなくなつた組合せもあつた.例えば乳房容積に対し単純相関では尻長+0.359,直尻長+0.448,腰角巾+0.517であつたが,偏相関ではそれぞれ+0.244,+0.480,+0.222となつた.尻部のうちで乳房各部の大きさと有意の相関が多く,かつ値高かつたのは直尻長であつた.前後尻傾斜はそれ自体では乳房のある部位とは有意の相関のないこともあつたが直尻長に影響する一つの要因として重要であろう.(5) 娘の表型に対する父母の影響の有意であつたのは,父では前後尻傾斜,坐骨巾,腰角巾,乳房後面積,尻長/腰角巾比(骨盤の形と関連),母で乳房下傾斜(前後乳区不均称と関連),乳房長,乳房長/平均乳房深比(乳房の形と関連)などであつて,これらの形質に遺伝がかなり関与していることを暗示している.
