Effect of pulsed electric field strength and number of pulses on fatty acid profile of liquid whole egg

Maciej Oziemblowski; T. Dróżdż; Igor Piotr Kurytnik; Lukasz Bobak

The influence of strength and pulses number of Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) treatment on fatty acid profile in liquid whole egg (LWE) was investigated in our studies. It was stated that pulsed electric field treatment had significant influence on the most of investigated parameters. There was not statistically difference for monounsaturated fatty acids amount before and after PEF treatment. Nevertheless all fatty acids parameters were influenced by PEF within variant groups according to Response Surface Methodology results. Our studies proved that investigated parameters of PEF treatment are very important not only in micro flora reduction context, but also for chemical composition changes of final product.

The Application of Microcontrollers Diagnostic System for Evaluation of Stirling Engine

Bohdan Borowik; Barbara Borowik; Igor Piotr Kurytnik

The article presents the microcontroller system for diagnostic and evaluation of the Stirling engine performance. For this purpose the model for the prototype engine analysis has been developed, to present the engine’s improved benchmarking results. The most relevant objective in this respect was to achieve a uniform heat transfer across each tube of the hot gas heat exchanger. The functioning of this engine has been analyzed with the aim to find and optimize the main working parameters. To obtain this goal the Stirling engine has been equipped with different kinds of electronic sensors. A microcontroller testing circuit has been designed, which uses the acquisition of data from the data module. One of the important tasks of testing a Stirling engine is to present a model, which is able to represent the dynamics involved in all essential processes of the engine.

Experimental Research of the Analog Multiplier based on Field-effect Transistors

Igor Piotr Kurytnik

The article presents the results of mathematical analysis and experimental studies of analog multiplier based on field-effect transistors. It is established that such multiplier has a wider dynamic range of input signals and a low level of output signal combinational components. Streszczenie. Artykuł prezentuje wyniki analizy matematycznej i doświadczeń eksperymentalnych mnożnika analogowego opartego na tranzystorach polowych. Ustalono, że taki mnożnik posiada szerszy zakres dynamicznych sygnałów wejściowych i niski poziom składowych kombinowanych sygnałów wyjściowych. Laboratory research of non-overvoltage transistors control method in AC voltage PWM controller

Andrzej Kandyba; Marian Hyla; Igor Piotr Kurytnik

Method of controlling transistors in AC voltage PWM controller aimed at eliminating commutation overvoltages is presented in the paper. The method is based upon keeping continuity of load current; this is achieved by appropriate control of transistors on the basis of detecting voltage sign (polarity) at the supply terminal and detecting load current sign (polarity). This type of control does not depend on character of the load and it makes possible increase of converters efficiency by elimination of RC circuits protecting transistors from overvoltages. The scheme of main circuit is shown as well as waveforms demonstrating the control principle. Four different characteristic operating conditions are discussed. Measurements have been done to verify the method with real three-phase AC converter with RL-type load and next non-thermic plasma. Permanent magnets generator — Asymmetrical mode of operation

Paweł Pistelok; Igor Piotr Kurytnik

Electromagnetic circuit of three-phase permanent magnet generator is presented in the paper. This generator works in one-phase operation mode. Field-circuital computational model is shown together with its cross-section. Comparative analysis of calculation results is given, for generator operating with single-phase-load, in one-phase mode when generator windings are connected in series, with three-phase asymmetrical load and three-phase symmetrical load. The waveforms of phase voltages, currents and electromagnetic torque for different load conditions are presented.

Adaptive binarization with non-uniform image illumination

Roman Lishchuk; Volodymyr Kucheruk; Igor Piotr Kurytnik

The article considers the image binarization process for its further recognition. During binarization of the image with non-uniform illumination some noise appears which makes it impossible to select features in the image. Considering the QR-code image as an example, Otsu method, Niblack method and Bernsen method were analyzed. Some errors in binarization of the image with non-uniform illumination were detected in the process of application of these methods. Therefore, the necessity of finding a better method arose. The presented method of adaptive binarization is a simple extension of Bernsen method, the main idea of which is the comparison of each pixel with arithmetical mean of pixels in its environment and simultaneous application of integral presentation of the image.
