Integrated management of thesis using clustering method

Thesis is one of major requirements for student in pursuing their bachelor degree. In fact, finishing the thesis involves a long process including consultation, writing manuscript, conducting the chosen method, seminar scheduling, searching for references, and appraisal process by the board of mentors and examiners. Unfortunately, most of students find it hard to match all the lecturers’ free time to sit together in a seminar room in order to examine the thesis. Therefore, seminar scheduling process should be on the top of priority to be solved. Manual mechanism for this task no longer fulfills the need. People in campus including students, staffs, and lecturers demand a system in which all the stakeholders can interact each other and manage the thesis process without conflicting their timetable. A branch of computer science named Management Information System (MIS) could be a breakthrough in dealing with thesis management. IMPLEMENTASI RFID TAG PASIF SEBAGAI PENGAMAN TAMBAHAN PADA SEPEDA MOTOR

RFID can be implemented in the security system on motorcycle and cars. Each vehicle already has security standards but with this addition of the security using RFID, the owners will more secure from loses. many cases of motor vehicle theft encourage the development of security systems which is used to reduce those thefts. The work of this device is utilizing the ignition engine or CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) and Coil (raising the voltage to spark plug). Between the CDI and coil is installed a hardware device which is can terminate and connect the electricity, the device is using RFID sensors. RFID uses the radio frequency to read the information from a small device called a tag or transponder. RFID tag will recognize itself when a signa is detected l from a compatible device, that is the RFID reader. Appliance placed in a hidden place and also easily detected signal by the RFID tag. By adding this device, the motorcylce has now a double security system and reduce users concern because it can use the handlebar lock, it can also be secured with RFID system.

Rancang Bangun Sistem Informasi Donor Darah Berbasis Web (Studi Kasus : Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Korps Sukarela Universitas Mulawarman)

Masyarakat yang membutuhkan darah sering mengalarnikesulitan ketika mencari informasi persediaan darah. Hal ini dikarenakan Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) atau Unit Transfusi Darah (UTD) belum mempunyai pangkalan data pedonor yang dapat diakses dengan cepat. Perlu ditemukan cara memecahkan permasalahan yang ada dengan menyediakan sebuah program sistem informasi layanan donor darah yang dapat di akses oleh masyarakat. Sistem Informasi Donor Darah berbasis WEB merupakan sebuah cara untuk menampilkan halaman web Sistem informasi donor darah secara online sehingga diharapkan masyarakat yang membutuhkan informasi donor darah dapat mengakses informasi yang di buat.Pemrograman PHP dan database MySQL dengan dukungan framework CodeIgniter dapat mempermudah sitem informasi donor darah berbasis web diharapkan dapat digunakan untuk mengetahui para pendonor darah yang ada Universitas Mulawarman yang di kelola oleh Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Universitas Mulawarman berkerja sama dengan Unit Transfusi Darah Cabang Palang Merah Indonesia (UTDC PMI) Cabang Samarinda.
