Quality Characteristics of Collaborative Systems

Ion Ivan; Cristian Ciurea

This paper describe the new concepts of collaborative systems quality evaluation. There are identified structures of collaborative systems. The paper define the quality characteristics of collaborative systems. There are proposed a metric to estimate the quality level of collaborative systems. There are performed measurements of collaborative systems quality using a specially designed software.

Collaborative Educational System Analysis and Assessment

Ion Ivan; Cristian Ciurea; Daniel Milodin

The paper presents definitions of collaborative systems, their classification and the study of collaborative systems in education. It describes the key concepts of collaborative educational systems. There are listed main properties and quality characteristics of collaborative educational systems. It analyzes the application for the assessment of text entities orthogonality within a collaborative system in education, represented by a virtual campus. It implements a metric for evaluating the orthogonality.

Cultural heritage and modern information and communication technologies

Florin Gheorghe Filip; Cristian Ciurea; Horaţiu Dragomirescu; Ion Ivan

The paper presents an up-to-date view of entities of the cultural heritage sector and their relationships with other domains of human activity as well as the corresponding business models facilitated by modern information and communication technologies. The economic impact of the interactions established between various actors of the cultural economy landscape, such as cultural heritage institutions, digital “facilitators” and public, is described by using a cybernetic representation and a corresponding mathematical model. A particular emphasis is put on mobile technology-based approach to the cultural heritage sector and an example of a practical online virtual exhibition is provided.

Security of virtual entities

Adina Uta; Ion Ivan; Marius Popa; Cristian Ciurea; Mihai Doinea

The concepts of basic virtual entity and derived virtual entity are presented. Their quality characteristics are defined in the context of multiple accessing by heterogeneous target group members. The development conditions of derived entities are established. For collections of basic virtual entities and derived entities, are constructed and implemented algorithms to ensure and increase the level of security in the virtual environment. To implement a complete set of virtual entities, measurements of the security level are performed, using a special metric built.

Metrics of Collaborative Business Systems in the Knowledge- based Economy☆

Ion Ivan; Cristian Ciurea; Alin Zamfiroiu

There are already accumulations in the business-oriented collaborative informatics systems that require switching to a new generation: data acquisition, increasing the diversity of people that access them, generalization of databases use, multimedia application development, the use of touch screen-friendly interfaces. This paper aims to define the characteristics of the new generation of collaborative business systems, combining semantic with artificial intelligence based on intelligent analysis of content. An architecture of business collaborative systems is presented and metrics are defined in order to realize a quantitative analysis of semantic-oriented business collaborative systems. Experimental results are analyzed to determine the systems behavior in the context of knowledge-based economy evolution.

Control of Metrics Design on Mobile Quality Application

Ion Ivan; Alin Zamfiroiu; Cristian Ciurea; Mihai Doinea

Abstract Mobile applications structures are presented and their quality characteristics. The development cycle for m-applications is analyzed in the context of ensuring TQM requirements. A system of quality indicators of m-applications is designed and properties of these indicators are analyzed in relation to the operationality and representation of provided results. Practical arrangements for checking the metric for general classes of m-applications are established. The considered experiments come to emphasize the need to use metrics and the aggregate quality indicator.

Assigning Weights for Quality Software Metrics Aggregation

Ion Ivan; Alin Zamfiroiu; Mihai Doinea; Mihai Liviu Despa

Abstract The description of quality software metrics is presented. Based on a set of quality characteristics, specialized and application oriented characteristics systems are built. For each characteristic there are countless level estimation models, from which a significant one is debated. A model in which the codomain is between [0,1] is selected for each characteristic correlated with a high level of orthogonality in relation to other characteristics that are part of the system. An aggregate indicator with the codomain between [0,1] is built using weights that create a more comprehensive overview of software quality. The importance of defining techniques for weights calculation is presented. The properties obtained for the weights are analyzed using different techniques.

Statistical indicators for measuring innovation in IT project management

Ion Ivan; Mihai Liviu Despa

Abstract The concept of project management innovation is submitted and particular characteristics of IT project management innovation are depicted. The stages of innovative IT project development cycle are described. The characteristics that differentiate innovative IT project management from traditional IT project management are enunciated. The factors that influence the innovativeness level are studied and appropriate indicators are generated. Properties of the above mentioned indicators are analyzed. The quality of the proposed indicators is analyzed and ways for increasing the degree of innovativeness of the project are proposed. Conclusions are formulated on the topic of innovative project management.
