GA-based multiple paths test data generator

Moataz A. Ahmed; Irman Hermadi

Developers have learned over time that software testing costs a considerable amount of a software project budget. Hence, software quality managers have been looking for solutions to reduce testing costs and time. Considering path coverage as the test adequacy criterion, we propose using genetic algorithms (GA) for automating the generation of test data for white-box testing. There are evidences that GA has been already successful in generating test data. However, existing GA-based test data generators suffer from some problems. This paper presents our approach to overcome one of these problems; that is the inefficiency in covering multiple target paths. We have designed a GA-based test data generator that is, in one run, able to synthesize multiple test data to cover multiple target paths. Moreover, we have implemented a set of variations of the generator. Experimental results show that our test data generator is more efficient and more effective than others.

Satellite image processing for precision agriculture and agroindustry using convolutional neural network and genetic algorithm

Firdaus; Y Arkeman; A Buono; Irman Hermadi

Translating satellite imagery to a useful data for decision making during this time are usually done manually by human. In this research, we are going to translate satellite imagery by using artificial intelligence method specifically using convolutional neural network and genetic algorithm to become a useful data for decision making, especially for precision agriculture and agroindustry. In this research, we are focused on how to made a sustainable land use planning with 3 objectives. The first is maximizing economic factor. Second is minimizing CO2 emission and the last is minimizing land degradation. Results show that by using artificial intelligence method, can produced a good pareto optimum solutions in a short time.

Evaluasi Cobit dan Perancangan IT Balanced Scorecard untuk Perbaikan Penerapan System Development

Mohamad Chandra; Arif Imam Suroso; Irman Hermadi

. System development life cycle (SDLC) procedures has an important role in the process of system development in BRI Information Systems Technology (TSI) Division. This research aims to select the COBIT IT processes that are used as evaluation focus area of SDLC implementation, assess the maturity level of SDLC implementation, provide recommendations for improvement of SDLC implementation, and design a framework IT balanced scorecard (IT BSC) about improvement of SDLC implementation. The sampling method using purposive sampling and maturity models COBIT 4.1 as an assessment tool to measure the maturity level of SDLC implementation through a survey. Survey data were analyzed with a maturity level analysis and gap analysis. The results showed that the TSI Division is at maturity level 3 (Defined Process). Gap analysis generates recommendations for improvements based on detailed control objectives (DCO) COBIT that has not reached the expected maturity level (EML). Finally recommendations for improvement of SDLC implementation presented in the form of framework IT BSC.

Campaign 2.0: Analysis of social media utilization in 2014 Jakarta legislative election

Dean Apriana Ramadhan; Yani Nurhadryani; Irman Hermadi

The advances in information and communication technologies are not only have revolutionized the society daily routine, but also offer a new way of interaction between community elements. In politics, the Internet has been used by political figures as a medium to interact with their constituents. Specifically, the social media have been enabling more interactive activities in political campaign. This research presents an analysis of social media usage in political campaign in DKI Jakarta legislative election in 2014. In detail, it explores the correlation between the votes gained by the legislative candidates and the social media that they used. Further, this research also recommend an application to support legislative candidate campaign in social media. The period when the survey was taken is 5-9 April 2014. In this period, the social media activities are observed in each legislative candidate pages or sites. This research shows that the usage of social media, especially Facebook and Twitter, is strongly correlated with the number of votes gained by the candidate. Therefore, we recommend the candidates to utilize the social media as one of their campaign strategies.
