Objective: to identify in the scientific literature, the defining characteristics of the nursing diagnosis “willingness to improved resilience” in studies conducted with ostomized people. Method: this was an integrative literature review conducted in the Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, Bibliographic Spanish Index in Health Sciences, PubMed Central, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Web of Science and SciVerse Scopus databases, using the non-controlled descriptors in the Medical Subject Headings vocabulary (MeSH): “Ostomy,” “Resilience”, “Psychological Adaptation” and “Quality of life”. The inclusion criteria were: scientific articles available in full; in Portuguese, English, and Spanish; with patients aged over 18 years, published between 2009 and 2014; and presenting at least one defining characteristic of the studied nursing diagnosis in their results. After the analysis, the final sample consisted of nine articles. Results: international studies predominated with the level of evidence VI. Among the defining characteristics, 10 out of 17, which are present in the NANDA International for nursing diagnosis “willingness to improved resilience,” were found in the literature. Conclusion: the defining characteristic presented in the taxonomy for the diagnosis “willingness to improved resilience” were found in studies with ostomized population.

Background: The speed of the technological progress influences the health education, to the extent that the progress of knowledge requires innovative teaching methodologies that. Among the various components of the health system in the world, emergency services were considered as priorities in the qualification process or human resources. Objective: Identify the educational technologies used in the training of professionals who work in emergency services through an integrative review. Method: Through controlled descriptors of Medical Subject Heading: Medical education, Training and Emergency in the databases. 2531 have been included articles in which, 21 were included in the final sample and suffered classification of the level of evidence. Results: There was a prevalence studies with a level III (71.4%) and in relation to the technology used, 95.2% of the studies used the simulation classified as soft-hard technology. In articles the subjects who used the technologies were the contents of obstetric emergencies and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Conclusion: International articles relating to vocational training in emergency feature, mostly considerable level of evidence (III). Among the educational technologies, the simulation was the predominant use of methodology for training nursing staff and doctors.

OBJECTIVEnThe aim of this study is to correlate the QOL domains of the civil servants to the type and number of chronic health conditions.nnnMETHODnA transversal, quantitative study, conducted at the Department of Civil Servant Assistance of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte with 215 civil servants, during the period from March to May 2011.nnnRESULTSnAmong the chronic health conditions studied, there was significant relationship between non-communicable chronic disease and QOL scores, correlating weakly (r <-376; p <0.008) in the other fields. It was found that the greater the number of chronic conditions, the lower the values on the QOL scale.nnnCONCLUSIONnThe quality of life of civil servants is negatively influenced by chronic health conditions, compromising, in general, their daily work and life activities.Objetivo: O objetivo desse estudo e correlacionar os dominios da QV dos servidores com o tipo e a quantidade de condicoes cronicasxa0de saude. Metodo: Estudo transversal, quantitativo, realizado no Departamento de Assistencia ao Servidor da Universidade Federal do Rioxa0Grande do Norte com 215 servidores, durante o periodo de marco a maio de 2011. Resultados: Dentre as condicoes cronicas de saude estudadas, constatou-se relacao significativa entre a doenca cronica nao transmissivelxa0e escores de QV, correlacionando-se de modo fraco (r<-376; p<0,008) nos demais dominios. Verificou-se que, quanto maiorxa0o numero de condicoes cronicas, menores sao os valores da escala de QV. Conclusao: A qualidade de vida dos servidores e influenciada negativamente pelas condicoes cronicas de saude, comprometendo dexa0forma geral suas atividades diarias de vida e trabalho.

Acidentes de Trabalho (AT) sao eventos que ocorrem durante a atividade laboral a servico da empresa. Objetivou-se identificar o conhecimento da equipe de enfermagem e caracterizar os acidentes de trabalho ocorridos em um servico de atendimento movel de urgencia. Estudo exploratorio e quantitativo, realizado entre novembro e dezembro de 2010, no Servico de Atendimento Movel de Urgencia de Natal/RN. Para a coleta de dados, utilizou-se um questionario estruturado. Dos 66 pesquisados, 16,7% eram enfermeiros e 83,3% tecnicos de enfermagem. A maioria nao sabia conceituar AT (51,5%), mas 75,8% conheciam algumas normas e 27,4% dos profissionais afirmaram que deve ser feita no proprio local de trabalho. Em relacao as caracteristicas do acidente, os enfermeiros (54,6%) sofreram mais acidentes do que os tecnicos (38,2%) e 74,1% dos profissionais estavam realizando transporte de pacientes no momento do acidente. Dos pesquisados, 33,3% sofreram contusoes provocadas por acidentes de transporte (44,4%), atingindo os membros superiores, inferiores e a cintura pelvica (59,3%). Devido ao grande risco de sofrer algum tipo de AT, e importante a educacao em servico no tocante a tematica Biosseguranca.

Doi: 10.5902/2179769211076 Aim: to create a protocol to assist people with venous ulcers (VU) treated at referral hospital of Rio Grande do Norte/RN, Brazil. Method: descriptive and quantitative study at the University Hospital Onofre Lopes. The sample of 39 professionals, the hospital and other institutions of state and Jequie/Bahia. These professionals were judges who selected the guidelines proposed in the literature on VU protocols. After approval by the Research Ethics Committee (Opinion n.o081/07), guidelines were proposals for judges, accepting Kappa(K)≥ 0.81. Results: the proposal contains 11 items: patient/lesion assessment, registry/documentation, care of the wound/skin perilesional, indication of coverage, use of antibiotics and pain treatment, surgical/drug treatment, improvement of venous return/prevention recurrence, patients forwarding, job training and reference/counter-referral. Conclusion: the protocol subsidizes improvements in care for persons with VU, as it guides the multidisciplinary practice.

Objetivo: Identificar el conocimiento del equipo de enfermeria sobre la muerte encefalica (ME) y la donacion de organos y tejidos. Metodo: Estudio descriptivo, cuantitativo, realizado en seis hospitales de Natal / RN con 68 enfermeras. Los datos fueron recolectados a traves de un cuestionario estructurado, realizado analisis descriptivoxa0 y analisis tematico de contenidos. El estudio fue aprobado por el Comite de Etica en Investigacion. Resultados: De los 68 profesionales, el 51,5% eran tecnicos de enfermeria, 77,9% dijeron que se sienten preparados para ayudar a los pacientes ME. Los criterios para el diagnostico de ME, el 94,1% citaron la falta de actividad cerebral detectada por los examenes complementarios. El mantenimiento de la temperatura corporal (82,4%) fue la advertencia principal mencionada en el mantenimiento del donante potencial. Del proceso de donacion, la entrevista con la familia fue la mas citada (82,4%). Conclusion: Existe una falta de conocimiento teorico y practico del equipo de enfermeria, lo que demuestra la necesidad de invertir en las estrategias educativas.
