Abstract Bremsstrahlung induced photofission of 197Au and 238U has been measured for energies Emaxγ = 0.8 to 2.2 GeV using catcher foil techniques. The mass distributions of the fission fragments of uranium were measured as a function of the maximum bremsstrahlung energy. The peak-to-valley and forward-backward ratios have been determined for 238U.

Abstract Angular distributions for α-particles and deuterons from the reactions 66Zn(3He, d)67Ga and 66Zn(3He, α)65Zn have been measured at an incident 3He energy of 18 MeV, using a broad-range magnetic spectrograph. DWBA analysis gives information about the 66Zn ground state configuration as well as the neutron hole states in 65Zn and the single-particle proton states in 67Ga. p]Analogue states in 65Zn corresponding to low-lying levels in 65Cu and in 67Ga corresponding to low-lying levels in 67Zn have been identified.

were measured between 20° and 60°. The4He-particles were detected with a position sensitive detector in the focal plane of a split-pole spectrograph. The aim was to get data to determine the deformation parameters of the equilibrium states by coupled channels calculations.

Abstract The elastic scattering of α-particles on 10 B has been measured in the energy interval between 5 and 30 MeV. At forward angles a diffraction pattern is observed in the energy range from 12 to 30 MeV, while at backward angles a strong rise of the cross section is seen. The diffraction pattern is interpreted in a Regge-pole diffraction model. The measured behaviour of the cross section at backward angles may be attributed to l -poles in the partial-wave scattering amplitude corresponding to a partial-wave resonance or to angular momentum mismatch between the elastic and absorption channels.

Abstract The target nuclei 27Al, 40, 44Ca, 51V, 59Co, 93Nb, natAg, 181Ta and 197Au were irradiated with bremsstrahlung of Eγmax = 450 MeV. Protons, tritons, 3He and 4He particles were detected on-line with an identification system using surface barrier detectors. Energy spectra, yields and angular distributions are given. The energy spectra are compared with calculated spectra from the compound nucleus model.

Abstract Yields and isomeric yield ratios of nuclei produced in the irradiation of 45 Sc and nat Cu with bremsstrahlung of E γ max = 2 GeV have been measured by the activation method. The experimental yields are compared to predictions with a Rudstam formula modified to photonuclear reactions.
