Abstract The subfamily Cylapinae is recorded from New Zealand for the first time. The new species Peritropis aotearoae is described and illustrated. Taxonomic characters of Cylapinae and Peritropis Uhler are presented and the zoogeography of the genus is discussed.

Abstract The genus Xenocylapidius Gorczyca, 1997 is revised. Five new species: Xenocylapidius acutipennis sp. n., Xenocylapidius ater sp. n., Xenocylapidius bimaculatus sp. n., Xenocylapidius gemellus sp. n., and Xenocylapidius rolandi sp. n. are described from Australia and New Caledonia. Illustrations of the male genitalia, color photographs of dorsal and lateral views of the adults of all species, and key to species of the genus Xenocylapidius are provided.

Abstract This paper provides the second report of the Cylapinae genus Hemiophthalmocoris Poppius, 1912—H. raunoi sp. nov. outside the Afrotropical Region (Malaysia: Sabah). Scanning electron micrographs of selected structures of Hemiophthalmocoris lugubris Poppius, 1912 are presented. A photograph of the adult of H. raunoi sp. nov. and H. sulawesicus Gorczyca & Chérot, 2002 are given. Illustrations of the male genitalia and dorsal habitus drawing of H. raunoi sp. nov. are provided.

Abstract A new genus and species, Linnavuorifulvius cheroti gen. et sp. nov., is described on the basis of specimens collected in Namibia. A dorsal habitus picture, pretarsal structure and genitalia illustrations of the new species are presented. The key to Afrotropical genera of the tribe Fulviini is given.

described on the basis of a single female collected in Kenya (Poppius 1912) and has for a long time been represented only by the type species, H. lugubris Poppius. Two new species, H. longirostris and H. caligans, were subsequently described by Schmitz (1970) on the basis of specimens collected in Central Africa. More recently, eight new species have been described from various parts of Africa by Gorczyca (2000). The genus belongs to the mirid subfamily Cylapinae Kirkaldy, 1903, tribe Fulviini Uhler, 1886, but has a set of unusual characters. Its claws are not toothed subapically but possess long, sharp spines at their base (fig. 2). The eyes are covered with setae and the cuneus is very long and thin (fig. 1). The majority of above mentioned species of the genus were represented only by female specimens. Males have been described for the first time in two species from Tanzania: Hemiophthalmocoris micropterus Gorczyca, 2000 and H. abbreviatus Gorczyca, 2000. Unfortunately, since the male specimens were dissected and damaged before their description, no information is currently available on their genitalia. All species of Hemiophthalmocoris were described from Africa and no record of this genus was previously known from other parts of the world. Among the material deposited in the collection of the Natural History Museum in London, the senior author found four representatives of this genus collected in Bogani Nani Wartabone National Park (formerly Dumoga Bone National Park) in Sulawesi, Indonesia. They are known only from female specimens and belong to a new species, which is described below. The female genitalia of the new species are compared with the previously unstudied female genitalia of closely related African representatives.

Abstract A new species from Ghana, Psallops niedzwiedzkii Herczek & Popov, sp. n. is described. The dorsal habitus, head and male genitalia are presented and some morphological features are discussed. A key, short descriptions and map of the distribution of the African species of the genus are also provided.

Abstract A new species of the genus Sulawesifulvius, Sulawesifulvius thailandicus Wolski, Yasunaga & Gorczyca, sp. n., is described from Thailand. The present finding also represents the first distribution record in Indochina for the genus. Color adult habitus images for Sulawesifulvius thailandicus and Sulawesifulvius schuhi (type species of the genus), male genital drawings of Sulawesifulvius thailandicus, and scanning electron micrographs of selected structures of Sulawesifulvius schuhi and Sulawesifulvius thailandicus are provided.
