Yi-Yoen Kim; Minwoo Lee; Joo-Yong Park; Soonho Jung; Kyung-Hoon Kim; Jaesang Cha

Exhibition content has been used a touch panel for the users convenience. Touch panel are not good recognition. And errors may occur when you use a long time. In addition there occurs a malfunction due to contamination. In the present study, such problems want to improve. We designed the Exhibition contents to recognize the swipe gesture of Kinect. Gesture recognition is constructed in three steps of Modeling, analysis, and recognition. Such gesture recognition was implemented using Kinect. Kinect provides Depth information of the image, Color Information and dimensional coordinates of your joints. Using this information in Were aware of the Hand movements. The KIOSK was controlled by use in 4 kind(up, down, left, and right) swipe gestures In order to verify the performance of the Exhibition contents applying the Kinect swipe gesture depth information and RGB image were used. And, verified the performance of the swipe gesture recognition and exhibition contents operations.

A study for indoor position detection using LED QR code and smart-terminal

Yongsik Kang; Junghoon Lee; Juyoung Lee; Jaesang Cha

In this paper, we proposed indoor position detection method using LED QR code and smart-terminal. We proposed a kind of Indoor position detection method using LED QR code and smart-terminal since many people use smart-terminal and QR codes have increased utilization. Control Server in PC offered and updated the location coordinates of LED QR board periodically. Then coordinates of LED QR are sent to the smart-terminal to indicate indoor positioning information.

Smart LED lighting system implementation using human tracking US/IR sensor

Daeho Kim; Junghoon Lee; Yeongmin Jang; Jaesang Cha

In this paper, Smart LED lighting system based on continuous human tracking data using US(UltraSonic) sensor and IR(Infared) sensor is proposed. LED Control of On-Off is determined by the output based on human tracking data using US or IR sensor. However existing LED control system is impossible to detect continuously by using separately for each sensor. And the efficiency of the existing system is low. Therefore this paper proposes the solution of the continuous human tracking and the efficiency. And it leads the direction of the implementation for LED smart lighting system by implementing the hardware based on proposed system. And we demonstrated the usefulness of the proposed system.

Implementation microprocessor controller for LED lights emotional match digital sounds

Jaesang Cha; Jaekwon Shin; Junghoon Lee

Recently, an interest of application based on the emotion has been increased. And the LED control based system according to sound has been proposed. However existing system is adopted the temporary and simple method for the LED control according to sound change and it is impossible to explain a variety of human emotion sufficiently. Therefore, we proposed the efficient emotional matching structure based on microprocessor, DMX and LED driver. Also we proved the usefulness of proposed system structure and micro process by conducting the experiment based on hardware device.

Jun-Woo Kim; Minwoo Lee; Soonho Jung; Juphil Cho; Jaesang Cha

Indoor positioning technology has been a goal of ubiquitous computing research. In this paper, we show the feasibility of detecting fluorescent light based on the camera images received from a smart phone. We present a robust and real time approach to fluorescent light detection in indoor environments. It is based on taking a ceiling image by Smartphone image sensor, filtering using selective oriented Gaussian filters. Our algorithm can detect all fluorescent light in still images of indoor environments in various conditions.

A study on location DB matching of IPS in specific area using LED lights and image sensor

Jaesang Cha; Seungho Lee

In this paper, we researched DB(Data Base) matching algorithm for distinction of specific area of indoor based on image sensor using the LED. Existing positioning technology are positioning based on communication and visible light communication. Among them, visible light communication due to sending carrier wave in positioning inforrmation, occurs to computational increase by complexity of location-aware process. In addition, visible light communication occurs constraints of light source interference. Therefore, in this paper, Studied the location-aware algorithm to matched specific area through compare coordination value to specific area collected in advance server DB after location value obtained through image sensor using LED. It was simulated using four LED. And then, it was proved usefulness to perception in position local through experiments.

A Study of Mobile Architecture Web Design for Virtual Ecology Learning System Using LED (Light-Emitting Diodes) Lights in Smart-Phone Environment

Jang-Mook Kang; Bong-Hwa Hong; You-Jin Song; Jaesang Cha

This study is about the architecture of the system utilizing for smart phones and the Augmented Reality (AR) technology. AR is the technology of adding various types of information on the real word to create a third space (real plus internet). Smart phone users can learn the AR information provided by the management server. The proposed system utilizes the location-based information in order to provide customized information optimized to various real world environments of the learner. The architecture proposed in this study roughly consists of a mobile-web management server and application of smart phones. In terms of logical configuration, the system consists of mobile devices of the learning service providers and those of the learners, and is designed to raise the learning effect through interactions between ‘learners and learning service providers’. The proposed mobile AR learning system is characterized by the configuration and performance of the virtual ecology learning based on the location information of smart phones. This system is expected to contribute to the mobile virtual ecology learning system and the learning method.

A Study about Implementation of BcN Using WiFi/ZigBee in Smart Water Grid

Jaesang Cha; Jintae Kim; Yongsik Kang

In this paper, we propose the design and construction of Broadband Convergence Network(BcN) with WiFi and ZigBee combination to transmit sensor data in smart water grid. We collected sensor data to a broadband modem using ZigBee communication for integrated management server to transmit the sensor data values used in the wastewater treatment plant. And then, we were built the system that transmitted collected sensor data real-time to the integration management server through WiFi communication. BcN with broadband modem improves the control capabilities the existing wastewater treatment plant. It is an efficient energy management is possible. Therefore, contribute to improve the energy efficiency of wastewater treatment plant is expected.

As one of the attempt to energy saving, selective LED lighting control is considered to have many effects. It is possible to save energy through the on/off switching of lighting depending on someone needs or the focusing the lighting where the people is crowed. But, domestic LED lighting have many problem to use as individual lighting because most of the domestic LED lighting did not support individual control and variety lighting is only connected to one switch so it is need to additional wiring work. In this paper, we proposed the method of the individual lighting control system using VLC technique that easy to install and easy to usage. So it is expected to implement the system of individual lighting control and to avoid the difficulty of wiring.
