Alarm systems represent part of the technical resources to provide support for business continuity. Integration of the alarm systems is a modern way of using the current technological capability elements of intruder alarm system, CCTV, access control and hold-up alarm systems. These applications can be integrated with each other or to supplement the non-alarm systems and thereby provide simplify the automation processes in commercial and residential buildings. This article deals with problem of technical solutions of interconnection alarm and non - alarm systems. The key output of the article is classification of techniques of integration these systems.

The components of intrusion and hold-up alarm systems are not only the receiver of the electromagnetic interference that is around them but also these components are the source of the electromagnetic interference. If the components generate excessively high interference, their activity could have an adverse effect on other electronic devices in their vicinity or it can cause errors in the functional properties of the entire security alarm system. For this reason, each component must be tested for electromagnetic immunity and also their electromagnetic interference must be measured in accredited laboratories for electromagnetic compatibility.

The paper focuses on shielding effectiveness calculations of grid protections for camera objectives and their comparison. Security cameras represent the fundamental elements of physical guarding and help to improve a feeling of safety. Unfortunately, cameras are electronic device susceptible to electromagnetic field effects; therefore, the demand for protection is rising in recent years. The most cost-effectiveness solution is shielding enclosure which may be problematic to realise in this case just because of the lens. As an ideal solution to this problem seems to be shielding grid including different shapes of networks. The paper should provide information which type of shielding grid is the most effective.

Abstract For many people, a pacemaker represents something scary because it is related to heart disease. However, that is not the main purpose of this paper, the object of the article is the technical aspect of pacemakers, in particular, their calculation of specific absorption rate values, to which the pacemaker is exposed. A pacemaker generates electrical discharges that are transferred into the heart via a lead wire and electrodes. Authors focus on the impact of Wi-Fi signal antennas on a pacemaker. A dipole antenna working in the frequency range around 5 GHz is chosen as a source of electromagnetic radiation because this kind of antennas is relatively new and it is not widely used yet. Nevertheless, it represents a potential for the future. The experiment is performed through electromagnetic simulation software called CST Microwave Studio that provides tools for SAR calculation and it allows to visualise the scatter of the resulting SAR values around the pacemaker or human torso.

The examination of electromagnetic susceptibility of electronic devices is an important part of the process of design, development and construction of the electronic device. Surge is one of the types of electromagnetic interference and all the electronic devices must be tested on this type of interference according to international standards. Surge often occurs at the atmospheric disturbances such as lightning or at disorders in the energy of the high voltage network. The surge can cause failure of devices or even its permanent damage or destruction, in case the electronic device has insufficient electromagnetic immunity. Streszczenie. The Natura 2000 network contains many different habitats in Estonia, including old-growth forests and semi-natural woodlands. Ten years after the establishment of the Natura 2000 network in Estonia, changes have occurred in habitat type and habitat quality. Vegetation composition as well as the structural and functional qualities of a forest habitat type – Fennoscandian herbrich forests with Picea abies (EU Habitats Directive habitat type 9050) – are analysed in this study. The study is based on sample plots measured in 2014 and are located in protected and non-protected areas. Aegopodium, Filipendula and Oxalis vegetation types are included for assessment of vegetation, tree structure and deadwood composition. Habitat composition and dynamics on conservation sites are compared with commercial forests and possible ecosystem restoration measures are discussed in the study. The 46% of the studied habitats had considerably lowered their initial conservation value and 49% were developed towards habitat type 9010 during 2004–2014.

Electromagnetic interference constitutes a serious problem for the design and operation of electronic and electrical security devices or systems because the impairment of the device function gives rise security complications. The complications may be associated with false alarms, errors in control of connected devices, image defects, losses of communication. The main purpose of the experiment reported here was to analyze and compare the level of the electromagnetic interference in a near and far field. In addition, the article also provides an interesting comparison of the results obtained by measuring in the Gigahertz Transverse Electromagnetic cell and semi-anechoic chamber.

Operation of electrical and electronic systems can be disturbed by the influence of natural or artificially generated electromagnetic pulses (EMP). In this connection for many years people successfully developed means for generating the power EMP also in the form of weapon systems. Potential targets can be the important elements of critical infrastructure, military systems or transport vehicles, for example if necessary stopping the moving vehicle, as well as vehicles, which penetrated to vicinity of the protected object or stopping of vehicles at control posts.
