Energy-Saving Information Multi-agent System with Web Services for Cloud Computing

Sheng-Yuan Yang; Dong-Liang Lee; Kune-Yao Chen; Chun-Liang Hsu

This paper focuses on designing an information multi-agent system with Web service techniques for cloud computing and its interaction paradigms. It employs the concept of SQL IC to construct the operational interface of cloud database as a data warehouse. This approach not only can look after both sides of ubiquitous access advantages of cloud techniques, but also retain the consistent user interface of a data warehouse. It enables information users to conveniently use the Internet to quickly access the system information in clouds. This paper preliminarily proposes an energy-saving information multi-agent system architecture with Web services for cloud computing. Related presentations and comparisons of the system prototype also verify its feasibility.

Study on User's Satisfaction of Enterprise Resource Planning System - An Example of Manufacturing

Kune-Yao Chen; Hong-Yu Lee; Steve Tu

This research probes the users satisfaction of influence form the ERP system have been implemented in Taiwans manufacturing industry. We refers to the domestic and foreign scholars literature, and used the questionnaire investigation method, by sending out total of 282 questionnaires, retrieving 135, with 121 effective questionnaires, the effective ratio of 43%. For the retrived questionnaire data, using package software SPSS as the analysis tools, combined with statistical analysis methods, to verify the influence factors of users satisfaction that which have been implemented ERP system of manufacturing industry. The results of this study clearly indicate that the users organization level and the sex of difference in enterprises, whole have the difference view in the users system characteristics and system capacity by used ERP system. Moreover, users with different education background have different view on the profits obtained from using the ERP system. Hopefully, the management implication obtained from the analysis of these differences may offer the manufacturing industry in implement and upgrade the ERP system, and the software information companies in implementing the ERP system, as a reference material to bring into play the greatest benefits of ERP systems.

Design for Middle-Way of Intelligent Energy-Saving System with Embedded System

Dong-Liang Lee; Kune-Yao Chen; Chun-Liang Hsu; Sheng-Yuan Yang

In this paper the middle-way of the intelligent energy-saving system was constructed with embedded system PXA300 and the human-machine interface software was programmed with Visual Studio 2005 which was embedded into the system with the Operating System Windows CE. Users could get all the electricity power consumption and environmental parameters information detected by the wireless sensors scattered in the electricity consumption space through different networks. Then the information would be sent to the servo computer to determine what proper action should the system gives through the middle-way. So the framework of the communication system could increase the number of the detected facilities and validate the communication distance with high accuracy.

Dr. What-Info II: An Intelligent Mobile Information Consultation and Sharing Multi-agent System with Universal Application Interfaces Based on Open Data of Taiwan Government

Sheng-Yuan Yang; Dong-Liang Lee; Kune-Yao Chen; Chun-Liang Hsu

Based on multiple practical progresses in the development and implementation of Dr. What-Info prototype system, this paper continues probing into the expanded system Dr. What-Info II, the UAI technology for different data formats is analyzed, designed and researched with WIAS support, so as to explore how to intercept the construction of network service system APIs of suitable corresponding information with the support of OpenData@Taiwan/Taipei and domain ontology. The preliminary system effectiveness analysis and validation results show the feasibility of the techniques and corresponding architecture of the proposed system.

An Intelligent Energy-Saving Information Interface Agent with Web Service Techniques

Sheng-Yuan Yang; Dong-Liang Lee; Kune-Yao Chen; Chun-Liang Hsu

This paper focuses on developing an intelligent energy-saving information interface agent system with Web service techniques in cloud environments. This system contains two main portions: an information processing and decision-making platform, and a cloud information interface. The proposed system architecture not only satisfies a lot of interface system designs, but also presents unique functions of interface agents, and then shows that the decision-making precision, system reliability and system validity yield excellent system qualities. In terms of user satisfaction according to Quesenbery and Nielsen, the proposed system can score as high as 73 %.

A Study on the Establishment of Online S-P Platform

Kune-Yao Chen; Hsiu-Chuan Liu; Steve Tu

This study intends to establish a web-base learning and examination platform. Thought the S-P chart is chosen as the theoretical foundation, the analysis of data is expressed in a easily wording way to ensure an user friendly environment for students and teachers when using this platform. Both teachers and students can operate this platform easily and quickly to finish the examination and analysis functions. For teachers, this platform can help them fully and clearly discover the students learning performance. For students, this platform can help them easily understand every questions results, and help them to review the sections which they are not fully understood. This platform can acuminate information and review the examinations in the past, after collected several examinations. It can be used to review the problems based on the previous examinations, and point out sections for students to review. Finally, it helps students control their learning performance more efficient.

A new ubiquitous interface agent for cloud computing — Example on Bluetooth, GPS, and Zigbee techniques

Sheng-Yuan Yang; Dong-Liang Lee; Kune-Yao Chen; Chun-Liang Hsu

This paper focused on designing of a new ubiquitous interface agent based on the ontology technology and interaction diagram with the backend information agent system, i.e., OntoIAS, in cloud computing environments. Through the techniques of packet decoding and recognizing, the agent employs the CURRL to transform user commands into internal canonical format to conveniently process those commands by OntoIAS, which can avoid numerous, jumbled, and incorrect information torrents that results in misunderstanding of the information intention of users. In this paper, we preliminarily proposed a ubiquitous interface agent with the Bluetooth, GPS, and Zigbee techniques and related interaction diagrams in cloud computing environments. The system prototype and experiment outcomes can also reveal the feasibility of the system architecture.
