An ontology-supported ubiquitous interface agent for cloud computing — Example on Bluetooth wireless technique with Java programming

Sheng-Yuan Yang; Chun-Liang Hsu; Dong-Liang Lee

This paper focused on designing of a ubiquitous interface agent based on the ontology technology and interaction diagram with the backend information agent system, i.e., OntoIAS, in cloud computing environments. Through the techniques of packet decoding and recognizing, the agent employs the CURRL to transform user commands into internal canonical format to conveniently process those commands by OntoIAS, which can avoid numerous, jumbled, and incorrect information torrents that results in misunderstanding of the information intention of users. In this paper, we preliminarily proposed a ubiquitous interface agent with the Bluetooth wireless technique and related interaction diagrams in cloud computing environments. The system prototype and experiment outcomes can also reveal the feasibility of the system architecture.

Energy-Saving Information Multi-agent System with Web Services for Cloud Computing

Sheng-Yuan Yang; Dong-Liang Lee; Kune-Yao Chen; Chun-Liang Hsu

This paper focuses on designing an information multi-agent system with Web service techniques for cloud computing and its interaction paradigms. It employs the concept of SQL IC to construct the operational interface of cloud database as a data warehouse. This approach not only can look after both sides of ubiquitous access advantages of cloud techniques, but also retain the consistent user interface of a data warehouse. It enables information users to conveniently use the Internet to quickly access the system information in clouds. This paper preliminarily proposes an energy-saving information multi-agent system architecture with Web services for cloud computing. Related presentations and comparisons of the system prototype also verify its feasibility.

Developing a Cloud Intelligent and Energy-Saving Information Interface Agent with Web Services

Sheng-Yuan Yang; Dong-Liang Lee

In this paper, a cloud intelligent and energy-saving information interface agent with Web services was presented. The agent can not only explore related technologies to establish Web service platforms, but it can investigate the construction of cloud interactive diagrams using Web service techniques for extensively and seamlessly integrating backend information systems on the Internet. The preliminary system development, display, and corresponding comparisons show that the research results yield positive outcomes.

Digital Certificate Mobile Agent Technologies in Distance Learning

Dong-Liang Lee; Lawrence Y. Deng

Security issues are become more and more important in network application. This paper proposed an application of distance learning which integrated with citizen digital certificate (CDC) public key infrastructure (PKI), including the grade uploading, student information inquiring, and electronic documentation flow control. We integrated a tracking and persistent agent-based mobility management system in the case of distance learning. The main purpose of this system is addressed to achieve the universal access objective. We addressed to solve the problems in case of the data transferring in the network, such as eavesdropping, snooping, modification, masquerading and repudiation. And this would improve the efficiency of entire computerize procedure of electronic campus policy totally which in the following projects: Grade Processing System And Governmental Autographing System, etc. Especially, the Grade Uploading System was the first time to integrate with CDC. This experience was very important to integrate/generate the most secured application system in the Distance Learning.

Ontology-Based Multimedia Adaptive Learning System for U-Learning

Lawrence Y. Deng; Yi-Jen Liu; Dong-Liang Lee; Yung-Hui Chen

More and more video streaming technologies supporting for E-learning systems are popular among distributed network environment. The Web’s Information Seeking System as the main provider of information is indisputable. How to provide multimedia Information seeking support E-learning system is becoming more and imperative. In this paper, we provided a multimedia information system for e-learning. This system requires adaptable and reusable support for the modeling of multimedia content models and also supports possible interactive, transfer of streams multimedia data such as audio, video, text and annotations using with network facilities. However, we investigated these existed standards and applications for multimedia documents models such as HTML, MHEG, SMIL, HyTime, RealPlay and MS Windows Media that let us to find that these standards and applications models do not provide adequate support for advanced reuse and adaptation. Consequently, we proposed a new approach for the modeling of reusable and adaptable multimedia content. We developed a comprehensive system for advanced multimedia content production: support for recording the presentation, retrieving the content, summarizing the presentation, weaving the presentation and customizing the representation. This approach significantly impacts and supports the multimedia presentation authoring processes in terms of methodology and commercial aspects.

Verifying the Produce of Car-Bind through Timed Petri Net

Dong-Liang Lee; Jih-Fu Tu; Hsuan-Jung Lee; Kwang Pi Chen

The automobile industry was faced a decreasing marketing with the impact of economic crises gradually. The manufacturer need to progress for the material cost control and reduced its man hour or man power on the manufacturing process. This would make an achievement of a higher production capacity and more profit area obviously. This study was approved by the research data that the Petri Net architecture could be verified for the process of product currently. And it could identify the conflict and the consuming of man power in which of obstructing working station. Finally, we built up a simulating model by the Petri.NET Simulator 2.0 to solve the expend problem of man power eventually.

Design for Middle-Way of Intelligent Energy-Saving System with Embedded System

Dong-Liang Lee; Kune-Yao Chen; Chun-Liang Hsu; Sheng-Yuan Yang

In this paper the middle-way of the intelligent energy-saving system was constructed with embedded system PXA300 and the human-machine interface software was programmed with Visual Studio 2005 which was embedded into the system with the Operating System Windows CE. Users could get all the electricity power consumption and environmental parameters information detected by the wireless sensors scattered in the electricity consumption space through different networks. Then the information would be sent to the servo computer to determine what proper action should the system gives through the middle-way. So the framework of the communication system could increase the number of the detected facilities and validate the communication distance with high accuracy.
