Custos e escala de produção na pecuária leiteira: estudo nos principais estados produtores do Brasil

The present research had as objective, to compare checking cost methodologies and identify the milk production scales in the main states that produce milk in Brazil. The function of cost production of milk activity was estimated considering two methodologies, determined by: “milk activity cost†and “milk center cost†. The technical and economic results of 162 producers were analyzed from August 2000 to July 2001. The cost investigation by the methodology of “milk center cost†made possible a bigger accuracy related to the analysis of the total medium cost in the milk production. It was clear that earnings occurrence with the production scale. The results make clear that the study is formed by producers that look for greater productive efi¬ ciency and that there is an even proi¬ t possibility when talking about better allocation and improve-ment of the resources. The indicators analysis pointed that the reduction possibility of medium cost is more signii¬ cant for the production global system, that is, to the milk activity, than to the milk subsystem making clear that the other subsystems of the global activity presented a worse use of the resources than the milk production subsystem.

Custos e shut-down point da atividade leiteira em Minas Gerais

This work was carried out with the objective of both evaluating costs and identifying the shut-down point in milk production in Minas Gerais State. According to theories on both production and costs, the shut-down point is defined as the lowest price dairy farmers could afford supplying milk to market and still be able to cover their variable expenses. Data involving 574 commercial dairy farmers from all mesoregions in the state were analysed during the agricultural years 1995/6 - 2001/2. The economical profile analysis of the sector show that the cost of the product per unit was high. Análise de desempenho econômico da produção orgânica de leite: estudo de caso no Distrito Federal

O objetivo geral deste artigo e apresentar o desenvolvimento e implementacao da racionalizacao da gestao da logistica de captacao de leite na Cooperativa Agropecuaria Castrolanda (PR). Tal preocupacao tem referencias na reestruturacao experimentada pelo setor e no processo de granelizacao da coleta, que viabilizou a implementacao de nova logistica. O modelo utilizou a heuristica das economias de Clark e Wright (CW), minimizando a distância total percorrida, como uma proxy dos custos de transporte, sujeita as restricao de producao nas propriedades, capacidade dos tanques, tipo de caminhao acessivel nas estradas principais, secundarias e nas vias de acesso. As principais conclusoes que podem ser extraidas deste trabalho referem-se as vantagens oferecidas pelo modelo desenvolvido em relacao as sistematicas empiricas e aos modelos comerciais importados, que foram originalmente desenvolvidos para solucionar problemas de otimizacao aplicaveis aos meios urbanos.
