Abstract The issue of public administration effectiveness and its ensuring is increasingly gaining prominence in the macro-economic situation in the euro area. The public sector like the business sector must look for the opportunities to increase its efficiency. There are few ways of efficiency quantification, but considering the comprehensive assessment need of the research problems the most appropriate tool for performance quantification of public administration seems the packaging data analysis−DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis). Packaging data analysis as a statistical method is an important tool in public administration officials’ future decision making, rationalization and optimization of public administration performance. The submitted article is focused to the application of DEA method in evaluating the effectiveness of the public administration in Slovakia.

The object of the research was to investigate the quality of vegetable oils for cooking food. The analysis used two types of oils - oil Fritol and Promienna. Both oils were purchased commercially. Oil changes were observed at frying French fries. At the same changes were observed oil stored at room temperature and the temperature in the refrigerator. The determined parameters included the measurement of polar materials in oil with electronic device Testo 265 for measuring the quality of cooking oil. Determination of change in the texture of oil during the oil deterioration by device Texturometer TA.XT Plus and determination the peroxide value by STN EN ISO 3960:2007. The work is also evaluating the results of the studied parameters. In all compared cases based on the content of the TPM showed higher heat resistance oil Fritol and sample of oil stored in the refrigerator. doi:10.5219/210

Abstract Slovak regional government is soon expecting its fourth elections. This is also the opportunity to compare the local governance in the Slovak Republic. The submitted article is focused to analyse the structure of funding sources in Slovak Higher Territorial Units with an accent to use of the Structural Funds. HTU budgets in the Slovak Republic are characterized generally by very low percentage of EU funding (moving around 1%). In the correlation analysis we find whether there is a correlation between the change in the composition of the council and HTU success in obtaining resources from the EU. This paper seeks an answer to the question whether the ending regional representations were more successful in obtaining external finance than their predecessors established in 2005. And if its success depends on their composition or the certain regions are more successful regardless of the composition of their regional parliaments.

The next global financial crisis has already started, in the form of nearly 75 million unemployed young people around the world. If this mass of jobless youth does not find work, the consequences will be dramatic. Global changes in economic conditions and the economic changes which have taken place in the Slovak Republic have caused the disappearance of many traditional employers and the reorientation of production and services. The result has been that traditional manufacturing industries have disappeared and have been replaced by newer ones. The setting up of new small businesses and the arrival of new foreign investors have logically led to new demands and requirements concerning the knowledge, skills and competences of graduates. Education has a significant impact on employment and unemployment in Slovakia: higher levels of qualifications have improved the chances of finding a job. The labour market is expanding and there will be more and more opportunities for highly-skilled people.

This contribution describes the dosing method at die-casting using a mechanical dosimeter, by derivation of back coupling from the motion of the dosimeter arm. The motion of the dosimeter arm is described by motion equations and their analysis by the linear theory of control. Furthermore, there are derived the transfers of actuating quantity, failures and controls. Based on them, the control circuit is stable and periodic after satisfying certain conditions, failing which it is stable, damped and oscillating.

Agricultural co-operatives belonged among the most significant employers in the agricultural sector of Slovakia in the period before 1989. In addition to their production function, they played a very important social and demographic function, especially in rural areas, helping to stop or, at least, to slow the trend of the depopulation of these areas, as well as delivering significant support to employment policy. The number of agricultural co-operatives has been continuously decreasing, but they still provide, in comparison to other businesses in the agricultural sector, most of the job opportunities. The aim of this article is to assess the extent to which a particular co-operative employs the inhabitants of a region and whether there is a link between the development of employment in that region and the co-operative that operates there. For practical research, the particular region of Nitra county has been chosen, as it is a significant agricultural area and since the decrease of the workforce in agriculture has a negative impact on the economic and social situation of the wider region.

Aim of this paper was to examine of factors ( manufacturer, temperature and storage time ) influencing the variability of yeast amount and pH changes in bottled white wines. It was confirmed that wine coming f rom the business network was better quality in contract to domestic wine. We have assumed that domestic wine was contaminated during the manufacturing process, while the most probable reason was imperfect filtration of wine, or its contamination during the bottling. The results showed that the way of storage wine in the room , resp. cooler temperature did not significant effect on changes in the amount of yeast (p-hodnota=0.2080). Regarding the period of storage of wine , the conclusions are identical to the previous factor , ie . storage time not significantly impacted amount of yeast in wine ( p - value =0.5507 ). doi:10.5219/151
