Psicologia e saúde do trabalhador: práticas e investigações na Saúde Pública de São Paulo

Psychology and workers’ health: professional practices and scientific research in Sao Paulo’s Public Health. The aims of this article are to present the historical moment in which an opportunity for psychological research and practices emerges in the field of workers’ health in the context of Public Health, and to register experiences that exemplify different insertions of Psychology in workers’ health. It focuses the description on the State of Sao Paulo in the middle of 1980’s: the political and institutional context which is favorable to the development of that field. It presents some psychological activities in public health services that highlight the contributions of Psychology to the field of worker’s health.

Saúde mental e trabalho: os problemas que persistem

Este artigo toma por objeto a Saude Mental e Trabalho como uma subarea do campo da Saude do Trabalhador. Parte da constatacao de que os problemas de saude mental e trabalho, ja identificados em meados da decada de 1980, persistem. Apos retomar a taxonomia de tais problemas, busca evidenciar algumas de suas expressoes atuais a partir da assistencia e da vigilância em saude do trabalhador, bem como pela perspectiva de alguns sindicatos mais atentos a questao. Para tal, toma como ponto de partida o Centro de Referencia em Saude do Trabalhador (CRST) de Campinas. Por fim, pontua algumas caracteristicas do trabalho no contexto atual para compreender as motivacoes dessa persistencia.

LER: objeto e pretexto para a construção do campo trabalho e saúde

O presente artigo tem por objetivo propor uma agenda de pesquisa e de atuacao em saude do trabalhador, tomando-se o caso das Lesoes por Esforcos Repetitivos (LER). Assume-se que as LER sao simultaneamente objeto e pretexto para o campo da saude do trabalhador. Como objeto, as LER demandam o equacionamento e a resolucao de problemas e, como pretexto, elas apontam para os limites e para as contradicoes das praticas e dos paradigmas adotados em saude do trabalhador. Para tanto, recorre a achados e questoes ja identificados em alguns estudos.

Processos cotidianos de organização do trabalho na feira livre

This article aims to describe some features of the everyday processes that organize work at the open street market. It assumes that symbolic interactions are the substance of these processes. The empirical study was conducted by means of the ethnographic approach in an open street market at Sao Paulo (Brasil). As a labor market, the open street market provides jobs and incomes for about forty thousand workers. The open street market is organized as a social network, and its main features are: to mix labor relationships with friendship, neighbour and family relationship; to be informed by tacit rules and to be sustained by cooperation and competitiveness. The processes that organize the open street market must be understood in face of the process of urbanization in underdeveloped countries.

Djunta-mon: o processo de construção de organizações cooperativas

This article discusses the creation of cooperatives taking into account the concept of organization as a social process mediated by negotiations. For this purpose, we consider the conflict and the harmony of nuclear interests to understand this process, which explains movements of cooperation and confrontation.

Psicologia do Trabalho e Psicologia Clínica: um ensaio de articulação focalizando o desemprego

O presente artigo explora contribuicoes e limites da psicologia e, mais especificamente, da clinica psicologica, no enfrentamento do sofrimento psiquico advindo do desemprego. Sintetiza ideias construidas a partir de um conjunto de pesquisas que vem sendo desenvolvido pelo Centro de Psicologia Aplicada ao Trabalho e Servico de Aconselhamento Psicologico do Instituto de Psicologia da Universidade de Sao Paulo. Baseia-se em pesquisas empiricas sobre as representacoes de estagiarios de psicologia, o lugar do desemprego nas queixas psicologicas, representacoes da clientela a respeito do sofrimento psiquico e desemprego e sobre as representacoes e praticas de desempregados sobre temporalidade e desemprego, e em pesquisa teorica sobre as nocoes de situacao e morada. Tais reflexoes encaminham-se para uma focalizacao critica da visao utilitarista do trabalho, procurando responder de que maneira e em que circunstâncias uma abordagem psicologica pode constituir representacoes e praticas de ajuda contra-hegemonicas em relacao ao utilitarismo.

Psychology and the workers' health movement in the state of São Paulo (Brazil).

This article discusses the ways in which psychology has contributed to a new range of public health services concerned with the health of working people in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. It begins by discussing the political, institutional and theoretical bases from which the Workers’ Health Movement emerged in the early 1980s as a replacement for previous approaches to occupational health. It provides examples of some of the different actions and practices that were developed and which had a key role in the battle for better working conditions and for an enhanced role for workpeople in organizational change. Finally it shows how the dialogue between the field of Workers’ Health and psychology was crucial for the construction of psychology’s social agenda.

Psicologia na política de assistência social: trabalho em um "setor terceirizado"

Abstract This study aimed to discuss how psychologists working in the Sistema Unico de Assistencia Social ( Unified System forSocial Assistance) experience and perceive the outsourcing process of this public social assistance policy. Therefore,semi-structured interviews were conducted with psychologists who work in different social service settings, and afield research was carried out in a social assistance center. Among other things, the interviewees highlighted the factthat the outsourcing process of the Unified System for Social Assistance does not promote sustained employment, butrather low-wage jobs, lack of training, and high turnover. As a conclusion, it can be said that although Brazilian lawsare aimed at effectively promoting employment stability and the end of outsourcing of social care services, there aregaps that allow unstable employment and insecure contracts, which affect the health of the Unified System for SocialAssistance workers. Trabalho e política no cotidiano da autogestão: A rede justatrama

This article presents a doctoral research that aimed to discuss relationships between work and politics in the daily lives of a self-managed network. Justa Trama brings together about six hundred workers of seven economic enterprises from all regions of Brazil, it encompasses most of the links in the textile production chain from agroecological cotton plantation. An extensive ethnographic fieldwork enabled to monitor the political activities of the network between 2010-2012. The works of Agnes Heller about daily life are the main theoretical framework of this research. The network proved dialectically as an economic organization, whose purpose is to generate income, and as a political organization, resistance to the capitalist mode of production. It was also concluded that politics in the daily selfmanagement of the network can be regarded as inherent to the work, and the work can be taken as an object of political activity of the group of workers.Este artigo apresenta uma pesquisa de doutorado que objetivou compreender as principais relacoes entre trabalho e politica no cotidiano de uma rede autogerida. A Justa Trama reunia a epoca aproximadamente seiscentas pessoas, de sete empreendimentos economicos solidarios, de todas as regioes brasileiras, abarcando grande parte da cadeia produtiva do algodao agroecologico. Um extenso trabalho de campo, de carater etnografico, permitiu acompanhar as atividades politicas da rede entre 2010 e 2012. A filosofia da vida cotidiana de Agnes Heller foi o principal referencial teorico deste estudo. A rede revelou-se dialeticamente como organizacao de trabalho, cujo fim e gerar renda, e como organizacao politica, de resistencia ao modo de producao capitalista. Concluiu-se ainda que a politica, no cotidiano da autogestao da rede, pode ser entendida como trabalho. E o trabalho, por sua vez, pode ser tomado como objeto da pratica politica dos trabalhadores.

Recuperando leituras críticas sobre a avaliação na pós-graduação: dando continuidade à discussão e ao debate

This text was prepared in ANPEPP context - Commission of Scientific Policies, 2010-2012 Management. The text has originally been written to subsidize the Forum of Scientific Policies that took place during the XIV ANPEPP SIMPOSIUM in 2012. We have elected some issues, among others, that represent problems in the Post-Graduation Evaluation Policy. Although our privileged focus is Post-Graduation, it is important to recognize that this logic is also present in universities to assess teaching work in general. Recognizing that those issues have already been addressed in several texts, this article has been written quoting many of them. Quotations allow us to recover ideias and positions that have already been made public, and think them over. By examining the material on the subject, we were able to understand that many considerations, criticism and suggestions made are still updated because, regarding many aspects, no changes have been made.
