The paper is focused on the description of the development of single-purpose devices for determining me- chanical properties of the segments of human body. The re- search were focused on the development and design of a device for establishing the abrasion wear of the THR of the hip joint, and for testing spinal segments. On the basis of the gained knowledge, the attention has also been focused on the devel- opment and design of a multi-purpose experimental biome- chanical device. Its basic idea was derived from Stewart plat- form, for the modification of which an animation 3D model was developed.

Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology, Brno, Czech Republic Abstract- This article deals with determining the size of linear wear acetabulum total hip arthroplasty experimental modeling. Described in detail the creation of an experimental sample and the equipment to simulate human walking. The greatest attention is paid to the method for determining the topography of polyethylene cup and measuring the loss of polyethylene during gait simulation. In determining the loss of polyethylene cup was based on extensive analysis of selected holographic interferometry. Other parts of the article focus on first experiences with the application of this method, results and more.

The existence of chaotic systems in control systems is a serious problem of engineering practice. Unfortunately, many of identification practices, permitting their identification is very difficult. The article is an example of some simple practices and their contexts, permitting the emergence of chaos to predict.

Chaos theory as scientific discipline is being developed since the sixties of the last century. Most of the publications are focused on theoretical aspects of this phenomena and the research in case of technical applications is usually using model systems with small number of DOF. In this paper we present the results of simulation studies of chaotic phenomena obtained using so called chaos module on models of nonlinear dynamic systems. Persistence storage oscilloscope is used to visualize obtained results.
