Developing managerial and digital competencies trough BIM technologies in construction industry

Peter Mesároš; Tomáš Mandičák; A. Mesarosova; Marcel Behún

Information, knowledge and skills are in the current digital economy very important. The individual skills of managers in many cases represent a competitive advantage over other companies. Developing managerial and digital competencies represent one of the main conditions for success construction company. Nowadays, there are many ways of developing managerial and digital competencies. Progressive technology may be one way to achieve this. Building Information Modelling is a tool for supporting the management of construction projects in various fields. Paper discuses the issue of developing managerial and digital competencies through BIM technologies in construction industry. The main objective of the research and this paper is to confirm the statement that BIM technology supports better management in construction industry and that BIM technology develops managerial and digital competencies, it means that BIM improve their managerial and digital skills.

Jozef Jurko; Anton Panda; Marcel Behún; Ivan Mrkvica

The development of new materials and components for the development of new materials requires cutting their research in the cutting process. Currently, the increasing technical and economic requirements for the production of components (eg, increased productivity) of machining hard materials to improve the efficiency of cutting process. Finding the causes and define the conditions for efficient cutting process stainless steel is a paper.

Application of modern technical tools for sound visualization in the teaching process

Ervin Lumnitzer; Marcel Behún; Monika Bilova; Zuzana Farkašovská

Although sound is a very common phenomenon, its understanding is not at all easy. The technological advance and economic growth increase the use of mechanical equipment resulting proportionally in the rise of the noise level in the working and living environment. Therefore, it is necessary to focus particular attention on the issue of noise in the teaching process at higher education institutions. The paper presents application of one of the most modern technological tools for localization and more detailed identification of the sources of noise - the Microflown system.

Comprehensive Identification of Sintered Carbide Durability in Machining Process of Bearings Steel 100CrMn6

Anton Panda; Ján Duplák; Jozef Jurko; Marcel Behún

Very important cutting tool property is its durability. Durability of cutting tool defines lifetime of this cutting tool and it determines its suitability for select technological operation. Technical science defines a lot of different factors, that they may be cause of shorter cutting tool lifetime. For increase cutting tool durability is necessary maximally possible elimination of these factors. Determination of cutting tool durability is very important, because provides comprehensive information how to determine appropriate technological conditions for selected cutting tool. In engineering is for determination of cutting tools durability used T-vc dependence. The article describes process how to create durability dependence for cutting tools made of sintered carbide by means of T-vc dependence in machining process of steel 100CrMn6.

Changing Deformation under the Machined Surface in the Cutting Zone for the Different Materials during Drilling

Jozef Jurko; Anton Panda; Marcel Behún

The basic hypothesis of this article focuses on the changes in the plastic deformation under the machined surface during drilling. For experiments applied a new Cast Iron GTW 35-04, Stainless steels DIN 1.4301 and ISO C45 carbon steel. The problem of drilling holes with diameter D=2 to 15 mm resides in the fact that 20 to 30% of these holes do not comply with prescribed requested requirements. This article presents the results of experiments focusing on the study of the damage process in helical drills with diameter d=6.0 mm. This study also includes an analysis of accompanying phenomena in the cutting zone by measuring some selected parameters.

Implementation of method for dynamic noise visualisation into educational process

Ervin Lumnitzer; Marcel Behún; Monika Bilova

Dynamic noise visualization represents ideal tool for clear and concise presentation of events not recordable with human eye and its implementation into educational process. Visualization is the right tool for students, that allows them to easily and effectively understand complex issues. This process of implementation is granted by modern instrumentation in conjunction with information technology. The „acoustic camera“ is a measurement tool which joined the field of acoustics a few years ago. This technology analyses the actual sound scene, which consists of a superposition of different sound sources, into a visual sound map. The basic principle relies on accurate calculation of the specific runtime delays of acoustic sound emissions radiating from several sources to the individual microphones of an array. An acoustic map of the local sound pressure distribution at a given distance will be calculated using the acoustic data of all simultaneously recorded microphone channels

Effect of Machinability of Stainless Steels for Increasing of Productivity Production

Jozef Jurko; Anton Panda; Marcel Behún; Ján Gecák

The foundation of the cutting process rests in the full plastic deformation of the separated material (in the form of chips) at TW, for defined conditions and a defined technological M-F system. Currently, one of the expense items influencing production costs for 1 component piece is: cost of the cutting tool. Every company includes a different percentage of cost of the cutting tool for their total costs of producing one component piece. Although the cost of the cutting tool makes up only part of the total cost for producing one component piece (5 % to 10 %), they have a significant impact particularly on the following: cutting process (TW), machine stand time, number of required operations, period for which the components must stay within the company, number of cutting tools.

New Experimental Expression of Durability Dependence for Ceramic Cutting Tool

Anton Panda; Ján Duplák; Jozef Jurko; Marcel Behún

Durability of the cutting tools is very complex process that is influenced by more factors. To the Identify these factors is necessary execute many experiments. The technical science defines the basic method for determining durability of the cutting tool according to results and knowledge F. W. Taylor. The Literature from renowned authors indicates that durability of the cutting tool is defined on the base of T-vc dependence. T-vc dependence like a elementary durability dependence was described according to Taylor´s graphics dependence VB=f(s) for different cutting speeds in 1906. From this theory were later derived others theories, that became the basis of theories durability of cutting wedge for the different cutting materials. For the durability identification of the cutting tool are in technical practice used two basic tests. The First is the short-term durability test and second is machining long-term test method. Both these tests have some advantages and some disadvantages that are described in Introduction of this paper. This paper describes how to create and analytically express new durability dependence for ceramic cutting tool on the base of vc-VB dependence. This dependence consists from vc - cutting speed and VB - criterion of blunting. The whole procedure and its analytical expression is the subject of this paper.
