After the stop is before the start

It makes a big difference whether start-stop systems are integrated into the development process right from the beginning of a new vehicle project or the systems have to be adapted as an add-on function within an existing vehicle architecture. Today, the add-on principle dominates which results in significant compromises. It is all the more important that the suppliers of the mechanical components, the magnetic sensor system and the electronic control units and/or software collaborate closely during the development and manufacturing process. Therefore, Tyco Electronics discusses this topic at system level.

Bei Start-Stopp-Systemen macht es einen grosen Unterschied, ob das System gleich zu Beginn eines neuen Fahrzeugprojekts in den Entwicklungsprozess integriert wird oder als Add-on-Funktion einer bestehenden elektrischen Fahrzeugarchitektur angepasst werden muss. Heute dominiert das mit deutlichen Kompromissen behaftete Add-on-Prinzip. Umso wichtiger ist es, dass die Zulieferer der mechanischen Komponenten, der Magnetsensorik und des Steuergerats beziehungsweise seiner Software eng im Entwicklungs- und Herstellungsprozess zusammenarbeiten.
