A prática do auxiliar de enfermagem do programa saúde da família

This study aims to evaluate the practice of nursing auxiliaries in the Family Health Program, identifying their daily activities, as well as factors that facilitate or hinder their work. A qualitative approach was chosen, using the focal group technique, with the participation of 34 nursing auxiliaries from the Federal District, Brazil. It was found that the nursing auxiliaries carry out a variety of activities, both of individual and collective nature, heavily influenced by the clinical model and with different degrees of complexity, such as: family registration, brief clinical evaluation, group activities, technical procedures, home visits, sanitary and epidemiological vigilance in day care centers. The participants related that they found it easy to bond with the clientele, but complained of the shortage of continuing education courses and imprecision as to their true assignments and lack of local coordination. The authors conclude that the program must reassess the role of this professional, reemphasizing his educational function in the community.Este trabalho tem como objetivo conhecer a pratica do auxiliar de enfermagem que atua no Programa Saude da Familia, identificando suas atividades cotidianas, bem como facilidades e dificuldades encontradas no seu trabalho. Optou-se pela abordagem qualitativa, utilizando-se a tecnica de grupo focal, com participacao de 34 auxiliares de enfermagem do Distrito Federal. Constatou-se que os auxiliares desenvolvem uma serie de atividades, tanto de carater individual como coletivo, com forte influencia do modelo clinico de atencao e diferentes graus de complexidade, tais como: cadastramento das familias, avaliacao clinica sumaria, atividades de grupo, procedimentos tecnicos, visitas domiciliares, vigilância sanitaria e epidemiologica. Os profissionais relatam que encontram facilidade na formacao de vinculo com a clientela, porem se queixam da escassez de cursos de educacao continuada, indefinicao quanto as suas reais atribuicoes e falta de coordenacao local. Conclui-se que o programa precisa redimensionar o papel desse profissional, resgatando sua funcao educativa junto a comunidade.

O modelo de competências na formação de trabalhadores de enfermagem

The qualitative study had as objective to analyse the perception of egressed students and managers of health service approach by competence in the qualifying of technical level nursing professionals. A prática de ensinar: dialogando com as professoras de enfermagem

Este articulo tiene como objetivos discutir y explicitar la practica cotidiana del docente de enfermeria de la UFPI. Estudio de naturaleza cualitativa, con enfasis metodologico en la Historia Oral, teniendo como instrumentos la colecta de datos, entrevistas semi-estructuradas usando los profesores de enfermeria de IES como los sujetos, y el analisis de datos del analisis de contenido. Las docentes de enfermeria consideraron que se puede romper con la verticalizacion de la ensenanza al estimular en el alumno el poder de la creatividad y de la comprension de la realidad en permanente transformacion.The aim of this study is discuss the daily practice of the nursing professors at the Federal University of Piauí. The study was accomplished in a qualitative approach with methodological emphasis on Oral History with the primary subjects being professors of nursing at the Federal University of Piauí. The instrumento for data collection was semi-structured interviews and data analysis was realized through content analysis. The nursing educators are considering the possibility of breaking with the vertical teaching method in order to stimulate the power of creativity and understanding within the student body which finds itself in a permanent state of transformation.

O conceito de risco e os seus efeitos simbólicos nos acidentes com instrumentos perfurocortantes

O estudo objetivou compreender o risco ocupacional como um processo simbolico que estrutura as atividades diarias dos profissionais da area de saude que manipulam instrumentos perfurocortantes. Pesquisa descritiva realizada em um hospital universitario com dados coletados por meio do levantamento dos acidentes de trabalho no Centro de Tratamento Intensivo adulto e na Lavanderia, pela aplicacao de um questionario a 105 profissionais de saude. Os dados foram analisados por meio de uma perspectiva interdisciplinar para conciliar a analise quantitativa e qualitativa dos dados. Os resultados revelaram que, embora os dados indiquem baixo indice de acidentes, ainda e preciso aprimorar instrumentos como o mapa de riscos e o uso de equipamentos de seguranca, bem como investir na capacitacao das equipes.The study aims to understand the occupational risks as symbolic processes that shapes the daily activities of health professionals that manipulate sharps objects. Descriptive research was conducted at a university hospital, with information collected through the survey on the accidents at work in Intensive Care and hospital laundry, with the application of 105 questionnaires. The information was analyzed through an interdisciplinary perspective, and enabled the conciliation of quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results revealed that although the number of accidents is low, it is still necessary to improve the instruments such as the risk map, the use of safety equipment and staff training.

A reforma psiquiátrica no Distrito Federal

This paper studies the configuration of institutional practices and their historical determinations at Hospital Sao Vicente de Paulo - HSVP, reference hospital in the Federal District for psychiatric treatment, from 1985 to 2002. A qualitative research was chosen, using a historical-structural approach and case study technique. The authors elected ideology as analytical category and, as empirical categories, mental health care and the psychiatric reform. The research tools used were interviews with key informants and institutional subjects (16 health professionals, 12 clients and 9 family members), analysis of documents and interactive observation.
