A particularidade do processo de socialização contemporâneo

O objetivo deste artigo e refletir sobre o processo de socializacao do individuo contemporâneo a partir do ponto de vista do educador, mais especificamente sob a otica da sociologia da educacao. A autora aborda a particularidade do processo de socializacao pela sua contextualizacao em uma nova configuracao sociocultural, tendo como base a concepcao de modernidade de Anthony Giddens. Procura tambem abordar esse fenomeno a partir das contribuicoes de Emile Durkheim, Peter Berger, Thomas Luckmann e, mais recentemente, Francois Dubet e Bernard Lahire, enfatizando os limites das concepcoes classicas da socializacao diante do surgimento de uma cultura midiatica.

A socialização como fato social total: notas introdutórias sobre a teoria do habitus

El objetivo de este articulo es reflexionar sobre el proceso de socializacion segun la perspectiva de la sociologia de la educacion. Pero precisamente, pensar la teoria de la socializacion a partir de un punto de vista relacional, articulando las principales agencias de educacion de la actualidad. Para mejor comprender el fenomeno de la socializacion contemporanea, se propone pensar esa practica como un hecho social total, esto es, una practica social vivida por una dinamica procesal a partir del cambio de bienes y mensajes simbolicos entre agencias y agentes socializadores, que abarca simultaneamente todos los individuos con la tarea de mantener el contrato y el funcionamiento de la realidad social. Para el desarrollo de este argumento, se le dara enfasis a dos teorias de la accion que discuten el proceso de socializacion: la primera se refiere a la teoria do habitus, de Pierre Bourdieu; la segunda, aquella dessarrollada por Bernard Lahire que, en una interpretacion particular y critica a Bourdieu, propone una lectura contemporanea de la socializacion, acunando la expresion hombre plural.

Teorias da socialização: um estudo sobre as relações entre indivíduo e sociedade

The article proposes a reflection in which the interdependence between instances of socialization and individuals can be made present. Based on some of the formulations about the sociology of socialization processes, an analysis is conducted with the purpose of apprehending the complex educative dynamics of the current times. Is there, and is it possible to actualize empirically, the articulation of the interdependence between the matrices of culture? How should we understand the intricate and conflicting process of construction of the habitus dispositions? Identifying a new structuring of the field of socialization, the text seeks a relational perspective between the agencies, in order to apprehend the specificity of the process of construction of the habitus dispositions of the contemporary individual. Based on Marcel Mauss’s concept of total social fact, and on Latin American anthropologist Nestor Garcia Canclini’s concept of hybridism, the article puts forward the hypothesis that the culture of modernity establishes a new socializing practice distinct from the previous historical ones. In this way, the discussion aims at contributing to the studies related to the socializing processes within the institutional and individual spheres, as well as to help in the difficult task of investigating the construction of habitus dispositions on the basis of a careful observation of formative mechanisms and strategies. It therefore extends the reading on the reach and limit of each of the matrices of culture and, simultaneously, makes it possible to peer into the ascending movement of new socializing agencies.The article proposes a reflection in which the interdependence between instances of socialization and individuals can be made present. Como os indivíduos se tornam indivíduos? Entrevista com Danilo Martuccelli

O objetivo desta entrevista e oferecer subsidios para o debate acerca dos desafios epistemologicos atuais da sociologia. Trata-se de uma rara oportunidade de dar voz a um pesquisador que mesmo se ocupando de temas europeus e especificos da realidade francesa, nao deixa de ter um envolvimento com a realidade latino-americana. A entrevista concedida por Danilo Martuccelli, em outubro de 2012, foi realizada pelas professoras de sociologia da educacao da Faculdade de Educacao da Universidade de Sao Paulo, Maria da Graca Jacintho Setton e Marilia Pontes Sposito, a partir de um debate informal e cordial realizado ora por e-mail, ora presencialmente. Danilo Martuccelli e professor de sociologia da Faculdade de Ciencias Humanas e Sociais da Universidade Paris-Descartes (Sorbonne). E tambem membro do grupo de pesquisa CERLIS (Centre de recherches sur les liens sociaux), que pertence a mesma instituicao. Nesta entrevista temos a exposicao de um instrumental teorico e analitico que evidencia a integracao das perspectivas micro e macrossociologica. Aproveitando-se de uma solida leitura dos classicos da sociologia a partir de um enfoque grupal ou individual, Danilo Martuccelli oferece um relato inspirador de como podemos nos apropriar de uma larga tradicao teorica. Fazendo uso dessas reflexoes, o depoimento poe em tela um debate contemporâneo no interior das ciencias sociais, bem como garante a ampliacao e a contextualizacao historica e teorica dos processos de formacao do social.

Marcel Mauss e Norbert Elias: notas para uma aproximação epistemológica

The aim of this essay is to establish some theoretical bridges between two social scientists, the French, Marcel Mauss (1872-1950) and the German, Norbert Elias (1887-1990). It starts from the assumption that these authors share some similar epistemological principles, principles that are valuable to the understanding of the education the socialization process today. Contemporaries, Elias and Mauss, both Jews, even not being a reference in the field of sociology of education, and although they have not systematized their thoughts on the field of the theories of socialization, they provide valuable insights about the inseparable relationship between individual and social structure. It is with this purpose that we will outline the next considerations.

As religiões como agentes da socialização

O objetivo destas anotacoes e refletir sobre o potencial socializador das religioes. Como um capitulo pouco visitado pela sociologia da educacao, esta discussao e dirigida a todos aqueles que se ocupam em pensar a realidade da socializacao na atualidade. Pretende-se empreender aqui uma discussao que desperte o interesse entre os educadores para esse antigo espaco de construcao de sentido, os sistemas religiosos. Ou seja, pretende-se chamar a atencao para um dos processos de producao, transmissao, negociacao e apreensao de um conjunto de dispositivos, fisicos, mentais e intelectuais responsaveis por parte da construcao do mundo social. Vale, entao, desde ja, introduzir algumas perguntas que se tentara responder ao longo do texto. Por que o educador precisa se familiarizar com as questoes relativas a uma Sociologia da Religiao? Quais os elementos desse tema que precisam fazer parte da formacao sociologica do educador? Serao levantados alguns aspectos que respondem em parte a essas indagacoes, embora nao esgotem a questao.

A escolha e o reconhecimento pela educação: o caso de Antônio

O artigo sistematiza ganhos teoricos e metodologicos do uso da nocao hibridas disposicoes de habitus a partir de um estudo de caso. Para desenvolver o argumento, considera primeiramente que a escolha pelo projeto escolar, em funcao da conquista de um reconhecimento social, pode auxiliar na explanacao do principio hierarquico da construcao de um hibrido sistema orientador de conduta. A analise permite observar que o biografado pouco a pouco traca sua singularidade fundindo disposicoes variadas, entre elas a submissao moral proveniente do trabalho bracal, bem como disposicoes intelectuais e cognitivas provenientes da escola. Injuncoes historicas e especificas chances de escolarizacao foram capturadas e apropriadas por ele num jogo e uso singulares do saber difuso disponibilizado pela frequencia a varios circulos sociais. Apontando aspectos do comportamento em varias dimensoes de sua vida, como praticas eticas, esteticas, religiosas e profissionais, e possivel considerar uma articulacao singular de disposicoes de cultura. Por fim, a reflexao permite identificar as relacoes indissociaveis entre contexto socializador e processos de individuacao, na medida em que condicoes de socializacao especificas sao capazes de instrumentalizar a composicao singular dos individuos.

A escola republicana francesa frente às exigências da lógica econômica: qual democracia? Entrevista com André D. Robert

From a sociohistorical point of view, one can understand correspondence relations between the economic system, state and school. It is from this perspective that Andre D. Robert, associate professor at the University Lumiere Lyon 2, undertakes an analysis of the French school system between 1945 and 2014. The guiding question concerns the democratization in quantitative and qualitative terms. First ambition of the republican school model, has democracy become an effective reality in the French school system? In the interview, Robert uses the concept of relative autonomy to record the growing submission from school to economy, nuanced by the complex social game played by the actors involved in the definition and implementation of school policies. Featuring a French school typology of the last seven decades, the author evaluates the effect of successive reforms in the school’s role in society. Equally important are the considerations about the role of the school in contemporary society: has education been lastingly captured by neoliberalism? Observing a partial reversal in the lack of state accountability during Francois Hollande’s presidency, Robert concludes for the existence of a school model halfway between the values and practices inherited from the republican tradition and the adaptation to contemporary requirements of economic logic. One of his observables is the emergence of a segregative democracy. Although access to education is increasingly less dependent on variables such as social origin, gender, nationality or geographic region, the hierarchy of the distribution of students between courses and learning opportunities more or less prestigious is strongly marked by social origin, which has been increasing in the first decades of the 21st century.

Marketing e Educação Política: um estudo sobre agentes, estratégias e interpretações da cultura

The objective of this article is to reflect on political marketing as a cultural and socializational instance capable of offering political education to diverse population segments. Given their communication strategies, marketing professionals are potential producers, disseminators, mediators, and authorities on ideas relating to politics, the people and the nation of Brazil. This paper aims to examine strategies with an emphasis on mechanisms used to influence perceptions regarding social bonds between political agents, focusing primarily on candidates and voters. This article aspires to elucidate the indivisible relation between the sociology of education and the sociology of culture.
