The article suggests sociodrama as a sociatric method for the actions of the psychologists when facing polemic issues, among them, the quota policy for African-Brazilians in universities. The article starts with a thought about scientific-cultural productions that assist social scientists for the social transformation. Assuming social changes through cultural and psychotherapeutic methods are based on the catharses phenomenon, the text analyses the evolution of this concept: rituals, Greek theatre, Psychoanalysis and sociodrama, which creates the idea of integration catharses. Example is given by a sociodrama of the quota system for African-descendants in the University of Brasilia, undertaken by Psychology undergraduates. The event led to a collective creation that favoured a social inclusion process and revealed the political role of the psychologist in society.

This article aims to outline a brief history of the research into Clinical Psychology, paying particular attention to the direction that this research is taking by way of a study centered around group relationships. We recognize the complexity in the therapeutic contexts that are presently available and which receive demands arising from increasingly larger groups, more expansive spaces and less specific environments. We can see that this history was characterized by a movement of flexibility in the clinical context towards accepting that the construction of meanings and senses that arise from the group therapy relationship, constitutes a valid source for discussion. Finally we would indicate the Sociatry of Jacob Levy Moreno as a proposal for the liberation of spontaneity-creativity which benefits the resolution of relational and social conflicts.

This study focused on affectivity existent between students favored by the quota system and regular students during the period in which racial quotas were adopted by the University of Brasilia. The theoretical reference of this qualitative study was the Jacob Levy Morenos Socionomy. Sociodrama and semi-structured interviews were used. Five students participated in the sociodrama, three students and one individual from a non-governmental institution were interviewed. Data were analyzed through the qualitative epistemology. We observed that students who were regularly admitted at the university were indifferent to students who were favored by the quota system and disregarded racial issues. There was a high expectation among students admitted through the quotas system to exceed academic performance so to placate discrimination generated by such policy. In regard to identity processes, most students occulted their identity and feared being exposed to this new social role. We conclude that there is a need to create psychosocial projects to integrate students within the affirmative action context.

This text refers to a case study that analyzed the intergrupal affectivity in the implementation of the afro descendents admission affirmative polictic at public universities. Socionomy was used as the theoretical focus of the study and it was carried out in the University of Brasilia context. The participants were 5 students and 5 members of an NGO. The instruments used were the Sociodrama and semi-structured interviews. Self-demanding for an excellent academic performance was the most noticeable attitude of the quota students and afro descendents in their search for a way out of the discrimination situation lived or perceived in the inclusive process. In regard to the affective dynamics, the university students showed unresponsiveness and unconcerned attitudes towards racial causes. We concluded that an effective racial inclusive project depends on a multidisciplinary psychosocial intervention directed to the sociometric nets, aiming at identity flexibility, empathic dialogue and solidarity building among the students.

Juliana Seidl; Maria Inês Gandolfo Conceição; Maria da Penha Nery

This is a report of the experience of a sociodramatic group preparing for retirement, which helped one of the participants to realize how hyperdeveloped the professional role in his life was. Five women and three men aged between 52 and 64 participated in the meetings. The reported meeting consisted in dramatizing the roles performed by the protagonist with proportional graphical representations. The experience indicated the importance of diversifying roles today for the performance of different social roles after retirement.
