La cultura como mecanismo de gobierno y control en las organizaciones cooperativas

El presente trabajo identifica la cultura como una de las piezas basicas del comportamiento organizativo en una cooperativa pues integra el conjunto de normas sociales, valores, principios y conductas comunes a los individuos que conforman la organizacion. El objetivo que perseguimos es estudiar el papel de la cultura en la sociedad cooperativa, como proyecto de personas que aspiran a crear riqueza social sobre una base democratica. Nos planteamos como cuestiones clave si realmente podemos referirnos a una cultura cooperativa como elemento diferenciador de este tipo de organizaciones, si realmente existen rasgos culturales propios y distintos a otras formas empresariales, asi como conocer que funcion desempena esta cultura en el ambito del gobierno de las organizaciones cooperativas.

Firms Facing Uncertainty: The Cooperation Option

Uncertainty has become a determining element in nowadays environment and it is even more determining for the future; however, we should be more precise when speaking about the increasing pretended trend of uncertainty which derives in the instability in the competitive capacity of firms. Anyway, the business’ perspective facing uncertainty is really relevant in facing future as well. Nevertheless, we consider that the quick changes together with the competitive importance of time imply not only adapting continually to the changing environment, but also, and more importantly, we strongly believe that the best defense for the firm must be a decided attack in order to shape, within its possibilities, the competitive stage where they must operate. In this sense, we propose the firms’ cooperation as an alternative offering real possibilities to face this modification in the environment; however, its management may imply some uncertainty which is inherent to the agreement; it would be necessary to bear that in mind and to try to control it.
