El periodismo ciudadano en la lucha contra la violencia juvenil. La experiencia de la Agência da Boa Notícia Guajuviras (Brasil)

This article presents the results of a research which evaluates the possibilities of training in citizen journalism in the fight against violence through a case study: the Agencia da Boa Noticia Guajuviras. This Agencia is a project of the City of Canoas and the Ministry of Justice of Brazil developed in Guajuviras, a neighborhood stigmatized by poverty and violence. Through this project, youths and adolescents receive classes on communication and citizenship. The research methodology is based on qualitative techniques. The results are centered in two aspects: the evolution of journalism in learning by students, and the progress made in their socialization to the prevention of violence as the ultimate goal

New tool for managing press calls: The project menextra.com

This paper presents the evolution of the project menextra.com, a tool for managing press calls. The research team developed its design in 2012 as a part of a research project financed by the Basque Government*. After the ideation, it was created the digital platform and we acquired the domain menextra.com. At present, it has been created an automatic system to give substance to it and we are planning its presentation and validation in the professional field. This article reviews the process of creation and describes the latest contributions to the project.

A stylebook for a new enviroment: Www.librodeestilo.com

The presence and use of the stylebook in Spanish newspapers on the Internet focuses the work of a multidisciplinary team of university researchers, journalists and technicians with wide experience in free software. This group is developing a tool that, under the title www.librodeestilo.com, aims to provide media and journalistic content creators on the Internet a free, accessible, participatory and individualisable book.

El perfil de los periodistas en el cine: tópicos agigantados

La imagen de los periodistas en el cine marca, en buena medida, la percepcion que la sociedad tiene de la profesion. Las peliculas reflejan la realidad, y al mismo tiempo, la crean. ?Son los profesionales tal y como se los representa en la gran pantalla o se trata simplemente de topicos que nada tienen que ver con la realidad? El presente articulo es fruto de un proyecto de investigacion en el que se examinaron por medio de analisis de contenido 104 peliculas sobre periodistas desde los anos treinta hasta la actualidad en la que se identifican algunos de los topicos que caracterizan la representacion de esta profesion en la gran pantalla. Algunos de ellos se ven corroborados, ya que el retrato predominante es el de un reportero experimentado obsesionado con el trabajo e incapaz de tener una vida familiar. Sin embargo, en contra del cliche, los periodistas de la gran pantalla son razonablemente eticos y persiguen ante todo un fin social.
