Current research investigates approaches certain repercussions of paternity’s in the adolescent father’s daily life, contributing towards the elaboration of public policies. In the context of eight participants interviewed (ages between 16 and 19 years), two had planned pregnancy with the partner, whereas five failed to do so. However, the later considered the son as desired; only one did not consider paternity planned or desired. Preventive behavior with regard to STDs was not mentioned the adolescents’ discourse; in fact, prevention was treated as a secondary concern, quickly shifting the discourse due to a false notion of trust. The difficulty in dealing and, especially, negotiating the use of preventive methods with the partner denounces the scarcity and/or the inefficacy of public policies directed toward the emancipation of the young population within the context of sexual and reproductive rights.

This paper is the result of a research that investigated the social relations of women who have affective and sexual relationships with other women and who socialized at a place recognized as a GLS (gay, lesbian and sympathizers) ghetto. The research was developed as an ethnographic exercise, obtaining data through field observations and interviews. The data was analyzed by content analysis. This article privileges the approach of the meanings attributed by these women to the relations they have established at that location, and that is revealed as being a mediation in constituting the subjects. The errant territoriality, transit and the positions of the subjects in networks of sociability are highlighted. The results shows us a perspective of maintaining these places under a configuration that refers to the separation of people much more than a possible aggregation of different people in freely shared places. They contemplate the themes of equality/difference, (in)visibility, protection, exclusion, tolerance and prejudice.

The objective of this text is to discuss some issues regarding adolescents sexual and reproductive health, considering two fundamental axes: the notion of sexual and reproductive rights based on what the great conferences promoted by United Nations on the nineties of last century praised and the medical-scientific speech as device which oscillates between government strategies of the populations (governmentability) and the subjects incitation to be occupied with himself (technologies/self-goverment). The notion of biopower, according to Foucault, seems to be promising in this discussion which includes the view on the devices that constitute the subject in his double dimension: subjected to someone or to something and tied to his identity through conscience and self-knowledge.

We intend to discuss the theme feminist subjects on the political field, considering the discursive changes for which the field of the feminist movement has been going in the last decades. These discourses showed consonance with the contexts of the late political struggles, indicating: a) new actions in the political environment, b) disputes on recognizing new identities within the feminism, and c) the evidence of the problematic of feminist subjects as a central theme for the Brazilian feminist movement nowadays. Our goal with this article is to discuss these changes within Brazilian feminism through the comparative analysis of two distinct moments: the third and the tenth Latin-American and Caribbean Feminist Meeting both happened in Brazil, in 1985 and 2005, respectively.

Superhero comic books gain life in the readers imagination, establishing strong connections to their daily life. A muscular and virile body has historically become the reference for male corporeality, while bodies that deviate from this are commonly satirized or excluded from the media. This essay intends to discuss the forms of representation of the male body in DC comic books, specifically Superman and Batman, according to the portrayal of characters as heroes, villains or supporting characters. Our premise is that these roles relate to distinct tendencies for the depiction of bodies, (re)producing social norms and aesthetic values upon corporealities.
