Todays environment is characterized by increasing levels of competition. Enterprises wanting to increase their market share or obtain profits must adapt to changes in the environment. Consequently, many changes in business methods are beginning to appear. One of them is business process reengineering (BPR), defined as the fundamental rethinking and radical redesign of business processes to achieve dramatic improvements in critical, contemporary measures of performance. Among the potential enablers of BPR is information technology (IT). IT makes it possible to obtain improvements in BPR, though not just by itself. This paper will demonstrate the importance of IT in one of the most prominent methodologies. Enterprises can make their tasks easier, redesign their organization, change the way they work, and achieve spectacular improvement using, among other enablers, IT.

Human resource management (HRM) has experienced a strong evolution. In order to provide useful information to managers, it is necessary to evaluate the results generated by the design and implementation of personnel policies. This is the goal of the HR audit that includes two different analyses and valuations: the HR policies and their level of fit with the strategy of the firm, and the characteristics of human capital. Several criteria have been used to assess different HR policies. Nevertheless, the measurement of the value that human capital brings to the firm is a very complex topic. Consequently, different models are being presented that aim to properly solve this challenge. This paper will analyze the HR function from two perspectives: the evaluation of the implemented policies and the quality of human capital in relation to real competencies, and the capability to learn and develop new skills.

This article shows the great importance that a frame of close relationship between logistic supplier and client acquires nowadays. Through the case study methodology and with the help of the intellect model, we carry out the study of a continuous relationship that has allowed a remarkable synergic effect between the two companies, Espack (supplier) and Ford Spain (car manufacturing). The change of a punctual relationship of merely transactional character to a cooperative model has resulted in the development of a durable and profitable relational capital and ultimately, in the generation of a competitive advantage.
