This paper proposed seven existing and new performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of quality management system (QMS) maintenance and practices in construction industry. This research is carried out with a questionnaire based on QMS variables which are extracted from literature review and project performance indicators which are established from project managements theory. Data collected was analyzed using correlation and regression analysis. The findings indicate that client satisfaction and time variance have positive and significant relationship with QMS while other project performance indicators do not show significant results. Further studies can use the same project performance indicators to study the effectiveness of QMS in different sampling area to improve the generalizability of the findings.

The growing usage of internet and online shopping in Malaysia presents a huge prospect in e-commerce market, specifically for B2C segment. As a result, electronic service quality (e-SQ), electronic satisfaction (e-Satisfaction) and electronic loyalty (e-Loyalty) become vital for online retailers to attract and retain online shoppers in this virtual environment. The association between e-SQ, e-Satisfaction and e-Loyalty should be continuously examined to cope with the advancement in information and communication technology, and the changing expectation of online shoppers. However, construct of e-SQ for online retailers in B2C market is still debatable. In this research, E-SERVQUAL was integrated with the other e-SQ scales to measure e-SQ of a prominent online retailer in Malaysia. Specifically, the e-SQ constructs are Efficiency, Privacy and Trust, Fulfilment, Responsiveness, Contact and Website Design. 390 sets of completed and usable questionnaires were gathered using online questionnaire and convenience sampling procedure. The result indicated that the five proposed dimensions of e-SQ constitute e-SQ of online retailer in B2C market. All the dimensions of e-SQ were found to have positive and significant effect on e-Satisfaction of online shoppers. Responsiveness of e-SQ had the strongest impact on e-satisfaction of online shoppers. The shoppers e-Satisfaction was positively and significantly affected their e-Loyalty towards continuous usage of online retailers website. Managerial and theoretical implications are discussed based on the results of the study.

The concept of total quality management (TQM) has been developed as a result of intense global competition. However, almost previous works were given less emphasis on technical aspects; tools and techniques as mediators in TQM performance model, which identified as theoretical gap. In this study, institutional and system theory are applied for examining the relationship amongst TQM, business performance, tools and techniques. The main contribution of this study is to explore the relationships of TQM, and tools and techniques as mediators, which effect to business performance. Qualitative study has been conducted in six companies in automotive industries. Respondents were asked about issue of the industry and TQM. In addition, they also were requested to assess TQM, business performance (BP), tools and techniques based on importance and practices. Spearmans rho was used to analyze correlation amongst them. This study result has identified ten constructs for TQM and six constructs for business performances. Furthermore, three tools and techniques namely statistical process control (SPC), total productive maintenance (TPM) and lean production are the most important tools and techniques in TQM implementation. Network diagram amongst the variable have been developed to understand the relationships. This study shows that there are significant correlation amongst TQM, tools and techniques, and business performance. TQM have strong correlation with tools and techniques (0.714) and business performance (0.928). Furthermore, tools and techniques have also positive correlation with business performance (0.899). The result shows that business performance is accounted 87% by TQM. In addition, if TQM is implemented simultaneously with tools and techniques, business performance is accounted to 91% by TQM and tools and techniques.

TQM practices are important to provide customer satisfaction by improved product performance and sustained towards the organizational goal. The objective of this study was to analyse the relationship between TQM practices, process innovation and employee performance. In this study, six critical success factors of TQM have been identified namely customer focus, leadership, training, teamwork, communication, and top management. Based on thorough literature review, employee performances have been measured by two constructs which are job satisfaction and workplace environment. The study used methodology of quantitative approach. The questionnaires for this study were randomly distributed to 102 employees in the selected car manufacturer companies. The respondents were choosing from management team, supervisor, technician and others worker. Results of the study support the proposed hypotheses that there are significant relationship between TQM practices, process innovation and employee performance.

TQM is a management philosophy embracing all activities through which the needs and expectations of the customer and the community and the goals of the companies are satisfied in the most efficient and cost effective way by maximizing the potential of all workers in a continuing drive for total quality improvement. TQM is very important to the company especially in automotive industry in order for them to survive in the competitive global market. The main objective of this study is to review a relationship between TQM and employee performance. Authors review updated literature on TQM study with two main targets: (a) evolution of TQM considering as a set of practice, (b) and its impacts to employee performance. Therefore, two research questions are proposed in order to review TQM constructs and employee performance measure: (a) Is the set of critical success factors associated with TQM valid as a whole? (b) What is the critical success factors should be considered to measure employee performance in automotive industry?

Presently, all organizations are facing by various types of risk. The risk can be occurred anywhere and to anyone. Therefore, they need to manage risk properly to reduce cost and other consequences. Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) was introduced many years ago and currently implemented by many countries as well as organizations due to positive impact especially in their performances. In Malaysia, it was first implemented around ten years ago and the organizations are recommended to use it as a tool or basis to recover any potential risks. There are many factors drive to ERM adoption in organizations that gave big impact on their performances. A part of that, the aim of this paper is to construct a conceptual framework that describes the relationship between factors or drivers to ERM adoption and ERM impact on performance. This relationship will moderate by two other factors which are quality of Board of Directors (BOD) and quality of internal audit. The area of this paper will be focus on Malaysian Public Higher Educational Institution (IPTA) which is only five institutions will be selected as respondents. The selection of these institutions was made based on top five ranking university in Malaysia. The potential respondents among higher and middle level management were identified and they will answer a set of questionnaire and the data will be analyze using Statistical Package for Science Social (SPSS) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The expected finding from this paper is there are positive significant relationship between both independent and dependent variables moderated by both parties which is BOD and internal audit.

Supply chain management (SCM) has become a critical challenge in the current economic globalization. An efficient SCM practices not only play a significant role in operational structures that produced and distributed products but is the keystone of competitive advantages. However, most of the manufacturing industries still unable to effectively utilize resources and implement appropriate strategies on SCM practices to improve organizations profitably growth, capacity and ability. Hence, this study purpose to identify the SCM practices and competitive advantages measure in manufacturing industries in order to determine the main adoption of SCM practices. Therefore, the study will focuses on six constructs of SCM practices that recommended from previous studies for measures the critical adoption: supplier partnership strategy, customer relationship, sharing the information, information quality, postponement and lean system. In addition, it is important to analyze the relationship between SCM practices and competitive advantages that may have influenced the organization performance. Subsequently, a conceptual model of the relationship between SCM practices and competitive advantages is developed.

The principal aim of this study is to determine the impact of ISO/TS16949 efforts on total quality management (TQM) and the ISO/TS16949 efforts relationship in Malaysian automotive industry. A survey method was employed to collect data using English version for Malaysian respondents. Exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis empirically verified and validated the underlying items of TQM, ISO/TS16949 and organizational performance. Structural equation modeling was employed to test the proposed model. Data analysis revealed that TQM implementations have a strong and positive impact on organizational performance through direct relationship as well as through a mediating role of ISO/TS16949 efforts. From the research findings, it is viable to recommend that ISO/TS16949 should be incorporated with philosophy and methods of TQM to achieve better performance. This study proved to be valuable to academic researchers as well as automotive practitioners. It systematically analyzes the mediating effect of ISO/TS16949 efforts on TQM and organizational performance relationship.
