ABstrAct: The purpose of this study was to understand the experience of nurses in their care of child victims of domestic violence. Using the phenomenological social approach by Alfred Schutz, 15 nurses who work in emergency, intensive care and pediatric inpatient units were interviewed. Analysis based on the Motivational Theory of Schutz allowed the description of the lived type, supported by three categories that express significant elements of the nurse’s experience: contact with the violence, ambivalent reactions and protective professional attitude. The lifeworld of the nurses who care for child victims of domestic violence is composed of various dimensions that generate a constant state of attention, and reactions that cause indignation, anxiety, sadness and a sense of helplessness, which need to be internally managed in the course of his/her care. Ethical issues about research with human beings have been addressed in health literature since decades. In spite of this, it is necessary to enhance actions to face many challenges, like the ones related to investigation of childhood. This paper presents and discusses ethical issues in research with children. It describes some strategies to perform with children, considering their developmental process and individual characteristics, in order to guarantee their voluntary participation in research.Ethical issues about research with human beings have been addressed in health literature since decades. The purpose of this study was to understand how infant-juvenile prostitution is being explained by researchers through an extensive bibliographical survey on national and international scientific sources. It was possible to access 20 references in full text form, which were analyzed according to the Content Analysis method. The analysis consisted in answering how infant-juvenile prostitution is represented by the author in relation to the concepts, causes, effects and solutions described in the references. It was found that the authors approached the subject as a way of survival, resulting from an unequal society, adult-centered and male chauvinist causing mental and physical diseases in children. The purpose of this study was to understand how infant-juvenile prostitution is being explained by researchers through an extensive bibliographical survey on national and international scientific sources.
