A study of Metopiinae from Turkey with description of a new species: (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae).

Abstract We describe a new ichneumonid species of the genus Exochus (Exochus protuberans Kolarov & Çoruh, sp. n.) and give data for 39 species of Metopiinae from Turkey, of which 25 are new to the Turkish fauna. We provide a check list for Turkish Metopiinae and a zoogeographic characterisation for each species.

The Parasitoid Complex of White-spotted Pinion Cosmia diffinis (Linnaeus, 1767) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) on Ulmus minor Miller (Ulmaceae) in Edirne Province (European Turkey)

Abstract The parasitoid complex of white-spotted pinion Cosmia diffinis (Linnaeus, 1767) larvae (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) feeding on Ulmus minor in Edirne was studied during the two-year period of 2007–2008. The determined parasitoids were Meteorus colon (Haliday, 1835) and Meteorus rufus (DeGeer, 1778) from Braconidae; Gelis areator (Panzer, 1804), Itoplectis clavicornis (Thomson, 1889) and Phobocampe lymantriae Gupta, 1983 from Ichneumonidae; Brachymeria secundaria (Ruschka, 1922) from Chalcididae; Euplectrus liparidis Ferrière, 1941 from Eulophidae and members of Tachinidae. We report here a new host-parasitoid relationship of C. diffinis with M. colon, M. rufus, I. clavicornis, P. lymantriae, and E. liparidis. The hyperparasitism of G. areator and B. secundaria on parasitoid Meteorus species of Cosmia diffinis is also reported. In addition, M. colon, I. clavicornis, G. areator, P. lymantriae and E. liparidis were determined as new records for Turkey.

Nothris verbascella (Denis-Schiffermuller, 1775) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) From Turkey And Its Two New Ichneumonid Parasitoids

ABSTRACT The parasitoids of Nothris verbascella larvae (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) found on Verbascum densiflorum and V. sinuatum (Scrophulariaceae) in Edirne, Turkey were studied between May 2005 and May 2007. Three species of Ichneumonidae (Hymenoptera) were recorded as parasitoids of N. verbascella (Temelucha interruptor, T. decorata, and Tricholabus femoralis). Parasitoidism by T. decorata on N. verbascella larvae is a new record for Turkey. In addition, we first report new host-parasitoid relationships: N. verbascella with T. interruptor and Tricholabus femoralis. Tricholabus femoralis is also a new record for the Turkish fauna. The presence of N. verbascella on V. densiflorum and V. sinuatum is a new record. This study also reports the first host record of Tricholabus femoralis.

Polysphinctini and Pimplini (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Pimplinae) from the Thrace region of Turkey

Specimens of Pimplini and Polysphinctini (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Pimplinae) collected from a total of 79 localities of the Turkish Thrace region between the years 1993 and 2002 were identified. 21 species were recorded, of which 9 are recognized as new to the Turkish fauna. Pimpla contemplator (Muller, 1776) and P. spuria Gravenhorst, 1829 are the most common species in the Turkish Thrace region.

A new species of Cymodusa Holmgren, 1859 (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Campopleginae) from Turkey

Cymodusa (Cymodusa) propodeata sp. n. from Turkey is described and illustrated. It is distinguished from the similar C. (s. str.) oculator Dbar, 1985 by moderately narrowed head behind eyes, developed clypeal fovea, area superomedia not separated by carina from basal and petiolar area and coloration of the body.

A new species and additional records of the genus Collyria Schiødte, 1839 (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae) from Turkey

A new species, Collyria pronotalis Yurtcan and Kolarov sp. n. (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae, Collyriinae), from Turkey is described and illustrated. A key for identification of the species of Collyria Schiødte, 1839 is provided. Moreover, additional records are reported for Collyria coxator (Villers, 1789) from Turkey.

Listrognathus mactator (Thunberg, 1824) (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) — A New Recorded Parasitoid of Cimbex Quadrimaculatus (O. F. Müller, 1766) (Hymenoptera: Cimbicidae) in Turkey

ABSTRACT: Listrognathus mactator (Thunberg, 1824) (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) was determined as a larva-pupa parasitoid of the almond pest, Cimbex quadrimaculatus (O. F. Müller, 1766) (Hymenoptera: Cimbicidae). The parasitoid is also recorded from Turkey for the first time.

Six new ichneumonidae species from Turkey; With special reference to the rare species Zabrachypus tenuiabdominalis (Uchida, 1941) (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae)

ABSTRACT In this study, six species of Ichneumonidae were recorded for the first time in Turkey: Acrodactyla quadrisculpta (Gravenhorst, 1820), Zabrachypus tenuiabdominalis (Uchida 1941) (second record for the fauna of Western Palaearctic region), Zatypota percontatoria (Müller, 1776) (Pimplinae), Poemenia hectica (Gravenhorst, 1829) (Poemeniinae), Erromenus brunnicans (Gravenhorst, 1829) and Exenterus ictericus (Gravenhorst, 1829) (Tryphoninae). Notes on faunistic and distributional data of each species were also given.
