collisions are considered within the semihard approach in QCD. The dependence of the cross section for heavy-quark production, σ(pT>pTmin), on unintegrated gluon distributions is studied. TeV are calculated on the basis of nonrelativistic QCD, the fragmentation model, the kT-factorization approach, and the standard parton model. The contribution of gluon fragmentation is shown to exceed the contribution of c-quark fragmentation both within the parton model and within the kT-factorization approach.
