GE intelligent personal radiation locator system

The GE Intelligent Personal Radiation Locator (IPRL) system consists of multiple hand held radiation detectors and a base station. Each mobile unit has a CZT Compton camera radiation detector and can identify isotopes and determine the direction from which the radiation is detected. Using GPS and internal orientation sensors, the system continuously transforms all directional data into real-world coordinates. Detected radiation is wirelessly transmitted to the base station for system-wide analysis and situational awareness. Data can also be exchanged wirelessly between peers to enhance the overall detection efficiency of the system. The key design features and performance characteristics of the GE IPRL system are described.

300C Capable Digital Integrated Circuits in SiC Technology

This paper pertains to development of high temperature capable digital integrated circuits in n-channel, enhancement-mode Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOS technology. Among the circuits developed in this work are data latch, flip flops, 4-bit shift register and ripple counter. All circuits are functional from room temperature up to 300C without any notable degradation in performance at elevated temperature. The 4-bit counter demonstrated stable behavior for over 500 hours of continuous operation at 300C.

An Integrated 90V Switch Array for Medical Ultrasound Applications

An integrated 90V 16-channel CMOS analog switch array has been designed and fabricated for next generation medical ultrasound systems. The array was implemented in AMIS I2T100 technology; the die area is 14.72mm2. Measurement results show that the static power consumption is 110 W. The on resistance of the switch is 200, and the switch off-state isolation is -30dB
