The purpose of this study is to determine and examine Internet marketing strategies that can be implemented by medical doctors/practitioners in Malaysia. Despite the increasing importance among many organizations of the Internet as a marketing tool, few studies have been conducted to examine the potential of the Internet as a marketing platform for medical doctors in the Malaysian context. The results reveal that compared to offline advertising, Internet marketing is a better mechanism and an important strategy for medical doctors. In this work, the advantages of using Internet marketing are highlighted, and implications for marketing strategy are demonstrated. We believe that Internet marketing can help Malaysian doctors improve their customer service and performance.

Commercialization of universitys inventions has become an important topic to Malaysian universities. Important outcomes from this commercialization are patent, spin off company and also how much profits generated from these mechanism. Most of academic writers always argue on the roles of the Technology Transfer Office (TTO), researchers and policy makers as main key players in commercialization process. However, there is still little research debating on the role of lawyers who have been involved as the agent for the university in the process of applying IP rights for researchers. Moreover, lawyers help the university to commercialize universitys research more easily to the public because they are the one who involved in the commercialization process from the start. Another important element is that the nature of their profession which is closely connected to the professionalism, integrity and trust places them as the most relevant referral point to help university in the commercialization process. This paper will look at how lawyers may market the innovations of the university when they simultaneously market their legal skills online. The paper recommends that lawyers who have been appointed as legal advisors for universities may act as the online marketing agent for the university.

At present, there is no precise legal framework in governing waqf implementation in Malaysian universities. Under the existing Malaysian legal provisions, the State Islamic Religious Council (SIRC) is the sole trustee of waqf either waqf am or waqf khas. Thus, in creating waqf, universities must get the permission from the SIRC beforehand even though they are governed under their own higher education laws. Nevertheless, SIRC in each state does not provide a clear framework on how universities based on waqf should be governed as they are under the power of Minister of Higher Education. Consequently, there are various ways of implementing waqf in Malaysian universities, as well as, no standard framework on the management of these institutions. Likewise, in Turkey, there are comprehensive laws regulating their waqf (foundation) universities as well as their waqf universities management. This study has incorporated qualitative and exploratory approaches. In summary, the researchers opine that the existing legal frameworks governing the implementation of waqf in Malaysian universities require some enhancement and improvement to suit the need of the institutions. In fact, the reference could be made to Turkish frameworks as they have the best model to be learnt and adopted in Malaysian context wherever appropriate.

This article discusses two main issues on integrated electronic land administrative system (e-Tanah) in Malaysia. As an integrated electronic processing of applications on land matters, registration of titles, documents required to be prepared thereby and any documents of titles through the use of a computer which includes both manual and computerised procedures, e-Tanah must be supported by legal provision and administrative mechanism. First, from the legal point of view, e-Tanah is clearly endorsed by the main statute on land matters, i.e. the National Land Code 1965. Second, administratively, e-Tanah is also properly managed.

Although the subject of the commercialisation of University Research often associated with issues like roles and functions of the office technology transfer, incentives for researchers, licensing procedures, mechanism of commercialization like spin-offs and startups and others, questions as to what extent researchers in Universities are aware of their vulnerability when giving consent to terms and provisions in the commercial contracts like licensing agreements as well as on students part in circumstances where the assignment of student IP rights are concern, issues of undue influence are rarely exposed and debated in the context of technology transfer in universities. The main purpose of this paper is to provide some explanations of the principle of undue influence as gentle legal precautions for researchers in the context of commercialization of university research based on some decided English cases.
