La gestión de la información en entornos personales de aprendizaje: estudio exploratorio en alumnado de último curso de grado

The Personal Learning Environments (PLE) is a pedagogical approach that aims to place students in a central position in their own learning process. This paper analyses the information management within the “PLEs” regarding issues such as information processing, information management, organization of information, information retrieval, ethical information processing, decoding and creation information, from a sample of 2054 students in their final year of degree of 50 Spanish universities, using an exploratory quantitative methodology. Among the conclusions it stresses that for the management of information students often use general search engines, often the information saved on their computer and on Internet, through hierarchical folders, although it is noteworthy that continue to use the paper to represent ideas. Finally, the most commonly used tools or resources for finding information are blogs or Wikipedia.
