A Escola de Enfermagem da Universidade de São Paulo e a reconfiguração da identidade profissional da Enfermagem Brasileira

This study intends to contribute for reflection around Brazilian nursing professional identity. For this purpose the subject was rescued from images built up on the knowledge related to identity, nursing professionalization and the blacks in Brazil. It is considered that representations of native inferiority, raised for blacks, have favored the exclusion of black women from the professional nursing education. Based on historical analysis and pertinent documentation, preserved at the Historical-Cultural Center for the Iberian-American Nursing, particularly the admittance forms, outcomes allow to state that the University of Sao Paulo, School of Nursing, has provided the inclusion of men and black women into the professional nursing, thus re-dimensioning the Brazilian Nursing identity.Este estudo pretende contribuir para a reflexao em torno das representacoes da identidade profissional da enfermagem brasileira. Para tanto, recupera o tema a partir de imagens construidas sobre a nocao de identidade, profissionalizacao da enfermagem e os negros no Brasil. Considera-se que as representacoes da inferioridade nata, erigidas para os negros, favoreceram a exclusao de mulheres negras da formacao profissional da enfermagem. Com base na analise historica e documentacao pertinente, preservada no Centro Historico-Cultural da Enfermagem Ibero-Americana, em especial, as Fichas de Admissao, os resultados permitem afirmar que, a Escola de Enfermagem da Universidade de Sao Paulo propiciou a inclusao de homens e mulheres negras na enfermagem profissional redimensionando a identidade da enfermagem brasileira.

Cruz Vermelha Brasileira (filial São Paulo) na imprensa (1916-1930)

Este estudio tuvo como objeto dimensionar la visibilidad de la Cruz Roja Brasilena, filial de Sao Paulo, en la imprenta escrita, en el periodo de 1916-1930. Sus objetivos fueron: describir y analizar su visibilidad en la imprenta escrita y discutir los efectos de la creencia simbolica de la Cruz Roja Brasilena de la Sociedad. Los documentos de analisis fueron derivados de un portafolio del Centro Historico Cultural de la Enfermeria Ibero-americana, de la Escuela de Enfermeria de la Universidad de Sao de Paulo. Los resultados fueron analizados con base en las concepciones de Pierre Bourdieu que apuntaron para el circulo de la creencia simbolica, cuando fueron publicadas 1.089 noticias en la imprenta nacional e internacional. En este sentido, a cada publicacion de una noticia de la Cruz Roja Brasilena, esta divulgaba el organo central en Brasil y consecuentemente la Cruz Roja Internacional.

Simpósio Ibero-Americano de História da Enfermagem: novas perspectivas da produção intelectual em história da enfermagem

Intellectual production presented in the I Symposium Ibero-American of Nursing History was organized in three thematic bases: anthropology care, history of the institutions of teaching, caring and associations of nursing and history of life, totalizing 198 researches. Results of production in the Symposium showed that tendency of the researches in the nursing history in the thematic bases, according with interest of researchers in: history of institutions, anthropology of care and history of life.Intellectual production presented in the I Symposium Ibero-American of Nursing History was organized in three thematic bases: anthropology care, history of the institutions of teaching, caring and associations of nursing and history of life, totalizing 198 researches. Results of production in the Symposium showed that tendency of the researches in the nursing history in the thematic bases, according with interest of researchers in: history of institutions, anthropology of care and history of life.

Exclusión de mujeres negras: Su representación en la enfermería profesional

Este estudio busca reflejar la exclusion de mujeres negras de los origenes de la enfermeria profesional brasilena. Basada en la historia cultural, el estudio presupone que la recomendacion para que se evite la presencia negra en las primeras escuelas oficiales de formacion superior, era necesaria la exclusion de las negras. Entre tanto, la memoria historica del cuidado nos recuerda que las cuidadoras negras ejercian esa actividad junto a los enfermos antes de la organizacion de la ensenanza de la enfermeria. Tales memorias crearon imagenes negativas sobre la identidad profesional de la enfermeria brasilena, caracterizada esencialmente por la mujer blanca procedente de las elites. La reflexion nos permite suponer que las representaciones del negro en Brasil, reiteraron estereotipos que, a su vez, reprimian la inclusion de las negras en la enfermeria moderna en la medida que la visibilidad de imagenes del proceso las proyecto como moralmente descalificadas, caracterizandolas como inapropiadas para el ejercicio del arte y de la ciencia del cuidado.
