A reply to McCann, Miller, and Moskowitz: Dynamic multivariate decision processes are even more complex than they seem

Abstract Recently, McCann, Miller, and Moskowitz ( Organizational Behavior and Human Performance 1975, 14 , 281–303) investigated the problems of model estimation and model specification for dynamic multivariate decision processes. Close examination of their recommended procedures suggests that several are either misleading or incorrect. In particular, the specification problem appears to be difficult to resolve unless the researcher has strong priors concerning which of two models is more appropriate.
