FUMICULTURA E A UTILIZAÇÃO DE AGROTÓXICOS: RISCOS E PROTEÇÃO DA SAÚDE

Introducao: ao longo dos anos o uso de agrotoxicos tem se tornado indispensavel para viabilizar a producao agricola, sendo usado amplamente no cultivo de tabaco. No entanto, seu uso inadequado vem trazendo diversos danos ao meio ambiente e saude do trabalhador rural, expondo-o a riscos ocupacionais. Objetivo: verificar a utilizacao dos Equipamentos de Protecao Individual em fumicultores durante a aplicacao de agrotoxicos, bem como identificar os principais sintomas decorrentes do uso, e conhecer a forma de descarte das embalagens de agrotoxicos pelos agricultores. Metodo: pesquisa bibliografica integrativa realizada em bancos de dados eletronicos da Biblioteca Virtual em Saude, tendo como criterios de inclusao utilizou-se artigos publicados nos periodos de 1985 a 2011 em lingua portuguesa, textos completos tendo como descritores: Risco ocupacional, Agrotoxicos, Tabaco, Embalagem de produtos. Resultados: diversos fatores contribuem para a intoxicacao por agrotoxicos, como o uso inadequado de Equipamentos de Protecao Individual, descarte incorreto das embalagens, falta de informacoes sobre o manuseio dos mesmos e contato direto com a folha do tabaco. Conclusoes: a informacao torna-se um importante instrumento para o planejamento, organizacao e desenvolvimento de acoes em saude publica que asseguram, a partir de medidas preventivas, a qualidade de vida do trabalhador rural e do ambiente.

PERFIL CLÍNICO E SÓCIO DEMOGRÁFICO DOS PACIENTES EM TRATAMENTO DE HEMODIÁLISE NO OESTE CATARINENSE

The objective of this study was to get to know the clinical and sociodemographic characteristics of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment in the west of Santa Catarina, through a retrospective consultation in medical records, with a sample of 70 patients undergoing hemodialysis. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics. The project was approved by the ethics committee of the State University of Santa Catarina under the number 248,116 / 2013. The results indicate a predominance of male individuals, aged between 40 and 59 years, white, retired, with low level of schooling. The main complication during dialysis was hypotension, the cause of Chronic Kidney Disease was diabetes mellitus. It is believed that campaigns to prevent hypertension and diabetes are an alternative to modify this profile.

Processo de esterilização em um centro de saúde da família à luz da legislação brasileira

Objective: analyze the sterilization process in a Family Health Center in the West of Santa Catarina in light of Brazilian legislation. Methodology: it is a study carried out as an integrative activity of a nursing undergraduate course at the State University of Santa Catarina, through a semi-structured checklist, developed from the Resolution of the National Sanitary Surveillance Agency’s Collegiate Board - no 15 of March 15th, 2012, which sets the minimum standards required in the processing of health products. Conclusion: although it was verified the physical structure of the material center is adequate, there are failures in the sterilization process, storage, monitoring and recording the stages during the sterilization process, besides the professional unpreparedness in the identification of the product’s validity.

Normas técnicas para o processo de esterilização de materiais em unidades de saúde: uma proposta da enfermagem

Objective: To organize a Technical Standard for the standardization of the sterilization process in Basic Health Units (BHU). Method: An exploratory and descriptive study for the construction of guidance on the sterilization process, developed in partnership with the Continuing Education Program in Health, University of the State of Santa Catarina - UDESC, which followed the ethical recommendations of Resolution 466 / 2012 of the National Research Ethics Commission. Results: It approaches issues related to the unidirectional material flow, standardization of the forms of cleaning and packaging, labeling, sterilization types, validation tests and record the sterilization process. Conclusions: The technical standard will form the basis for training new employees, minimizing public costs wrapped in reprocessing dental, medical and hospital supplies and ensuring better health quality to users of the Unified Health System (UHS).

NURSING CARE SYSTEMATIZATION IN PRIMARY CARE: WHAT DO THE NURSES SAY?

ABSTRACT Objective: To identify the knowledge that nurses in primary health care in Brazil, have regarding the nursing care systematization. Method: This is a descriptive research. The study included 18 nurses at health services in the Western Region of Santa Catarina. All participants signed up an informed consent form, in two version equal. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews and revealed knowledge that nurses have on the subject, as well as conceptual controversies that emerge from academia. Results: The systematization was associated by the subject to a sequence of standardized steps that aim to care management, a form of service organization and health planning. However, something little in the literature, systematic, was sometimes mistaken as a new model of care. Conclusion: Controversies and deficits in articulation between training institutions and health in relation to the approach in schools were noted. Key words: Education, nursing, nursing process, primary health care.

Percepção dos pacientes acometidos pela leucemia frente à internação hospitalar

Doi: 10.5902/2179769211079 Aim: to investigate the perception that the adult patient with leukemia attributes on the process of hospitalization and coping. Methods: this was an exploratory descriptive qualitative approach study, using semi-structured interviews carried out from March to April 2013 with seven adult patients with leukemia institutionalized. Data were processed and analyzed by the method ofcontent analysis. Results: four categories emerged, named: Recognition of signs and symptoms of leukemia; Feelings against disease; Coping with illness and hospitalization process; and Changes in lifestyle-related hospitalization and treatment. Conclusion: cancer patients seek the most diverse forms of coping to resist the disease process and the physical and emotional upheavals that comes with thedisease, as well as, it allows this patient to rethink his life and find resilience paths to face this condition.

REDE DE ATENÇÃO BÁSICA DE SAÚDE: ANÁLISE DO GERENCIAMENTO DOS RESÍDUOS

O estudo visa despertar a atencao para os problemas de saude publica associados aos residuos solidos resultantes de atividades desenvolvidas nos servicos de saude na rede basica de saude. Teve-se como objetivo conhecer o manejo dos residuos solidos de servicos de saude da rede basica de saude no municipio de Agua Doce - SC, especificando a existencia ou nao de programas de gerenciamento dos residuos solidos e a forma de como estes sao executados. Trata-se de um relato de experiencia sobre o processo de gerenciamento de residuos solidos que foi acompanhado durante uma semana atraves de visitas “in loco” e aplicacao de instrumento de analise desenvolvido com base nas resolucoes CONAMA no. 358 e ANVISA no. 306/04. Observou-se que a unidade de saude nao possui qualquer tipo de gerenciamento ou fluxograma para o gerenciamento de residuos de servicos de saude, expondo desta forma tanto os profissionais de saude como a populacao em geral aos riscos decorrentes do manejo inadequado. Nao e realizado qualquer tipo de treinamento acerca do gerenciamento de residuos. Conclui-se que as Unidades de Saude do municipio de Agua Doce – SC nao possuem um Programa de Gerenciamento de Residuos dos Servicos de Saude, apesar da legislacao estar vigorando ha mais de meia decada.
