EXPERIÊNCIA E FORMAÇÃO DOS PROFESSORES DE EDUCAÇÃO FÍSICA DAS UNIVERSIDADES DE PORTUGAL NA PERSPECTIVA INCLUSIVA

The study aimed to analyze the educational experience and the training of teachers of Physical Education courses Portuguese universities toward inclusion process. The sample consisted of 60 teachers from nine higher education institutions in Portugal. The instru- ment was a questionnaire. For analysis we used the descriptive statistics. We found that 61.7% of teachers reported having some type of training in Special Education obtained along the academic life; on the other hand, 70% of teachers reported not having participated in training in special education. We noticed, too, that most teachers never had the experience of teaching for students with disabilities. The reflections from the data collected intends to contribute to the formation of the university teacher is more systematic dialogue with other studies and with the challenges of practice, considering the lack of research on this subject.
