Saumitra Sengupta; Subir Kumar Sadhukhan
Abstract By virtue of the superior reactivity of diazonium groups over the iodides in Pd-catalyzed rteactions, iodoarenediazonium salts have been investigated and established as a new class of substrates for differential Heck and cross coupling reactions.
Tetrahedron | 1997
Saumitra Sengupta; Subir Kumar Sadhukhan; Sanchita Bhattacharyya
Abstract A study on the gegenion effect in Heck reaction of arenediazonium salts has given rise to arenediazonium perchlorates and fluorides as alternate Heck-substrates to the tetrafluoroborate salts.
Tetrahedron Letters | 2002
Saumitra Sengupta; Subir Kumar Sadhukhan; Sanjukta Muhuri
While tetraphenylmethane and triphenylamine are crystalline molecules, a starburst hybrid of the two leads to a low band-gap molecular glass which retains the optical and electrochemical properties of the individual components.
Tetrahedron Letters | 1999
Saumitra Sengupta; Subir Kumar Sadhukhan
Abstract A convergent synthesis of a first generation centrally tetrahedral phenyl cinnamate dendrimer and related dendrons using a multifold Heck reaction strategy is described.
Tetrahedron Letters | 2002
Saumitra Sengupta; Subir Kumar Sadhukhan; Rajkumar Sunil Singh; Nilasish Pal
A convergent synthetic strategy for stilbenoid dendrimers is described in which multifold Heck reactions have been used to construct both the peripheral and the core stilbene units. Solution optical properties of one of the dendrimers indicated some energy transfer having taken place from the periphery to the core.
Tetrahedron Letters | 1998
Saumitra Sengupta; Subir Kumar Sadhukhan
Abstract Fourfold Heck reaction on tetraphenylmethane provides a promising ‘one-step’ synthetic methodology for construction of centrally based three dimensional aromatic networks.
Tetrahedron Letters | 2001
Saumitra Sengupta; Subir Kumar Sadhukhan
Abstract A ferrocene dendrimer having nine electrochemically equivalent surface ferrocene units was constructed from a new tetraphenylmethane-based triferrocenyl dendron via a facile convergent approach.
Carbohydrate Research | 2001
Saumitra Sengupta; Subir Kumar Sadhukhan
A facile Pd-catalyzed strategy by which multiantennary glycoclusters and sugar dendrons can be readily assembled in one-step is described.
Journal of The Chemical Society-perkin Transactions 1 | 2000
Saumitra Sengupta; Subir Kumar Sadhukhan
Based on a Heck reaction protocol, trivinylogs of Crystal Violet have been prepared and show strong absorptions in the near-infrared region.
Journal of The Chemical Society-perkin Transactions 1 | 1999
Saumitra Sengupta; Subir Kumar Sadhukhan
A new synthetic protocol for poly(1,4-arylenevinylene)s via the first-ever poly-Heck reaction of arenediazonium salts with vinyltriethoxysilane is described.
