Urban growth may lead to various problems. The increasing number of citizens at urban areas may lead the increasing of demand such as new residential, public health, public transport. A city require basic infrastructure such as educational facilities, housing, clean water, sanitation, solid waste, electricity, telecommunications and so on. In the socio-economic level the increasing of city residents must be supplied with availability of jobs. A city must be managed and planned well to handle problems such as traffic congestion, air quality, water quality, water supply, energy supplies, and public health quality and so on. At this paper, we proposed tool using information technology and communication (ICT) to help local government to monitoring what currently happened in the city. We proposed application for monitoring city in single dashboard to help summarize the current condition of city. The architecture system use network sensor consisting of sensor nodes that has function to capture city condition like temperature, air pollution, water pollution, traffic situation. Also we can add another information socio-economic situation like public health service, economic indicator, energy supplies, etc. We have successfully developed the prototype of the smart city dashboard the give more accurate information of Bandung City, one of big cities in Indonesia.

Service innovation is an absolute necessity for a business firm to stay in their competitive edge in improving value provided for their customers. Service Science, Management, and Engineering (SSME) conceived as discipline with interdisciplinary techniques and methods for analyzing and introducing new service. This paper is an attempt to propose an alternative framework of service engineering based on the interdisciplinary nature SSME. In proposing the framework, the paper is organized into three part. (1) In the first part, existing frameworks are briefly reviewed. (2) The second part elaborates the proposed framework by exercising various popular and practical tools from SSME. (3) The third part is a discussion regarding the unique value of proposed framework compared to existing frameworks. The framework is designed to help practitioners or researcher to conduct service engineering, covering business side analysis to technical implementation, with emphasize on rapidity and practicality. Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) framework is proposed to be the main technological framework in delivering the services innovation.

The remote monitoring system is growing very rapidly due to the growth of supporting technologies as well. Problem that may occur in remote monitoring such as the number of objects to be monitored and how fast, how much data to be transmitted to the data center to be processed properly. This study proposes using a cloud computing infrastructure as processing center in the remote sensing data. This study focuses on the situation for sensing on the environment condition and disaster early detection. Where those two things, it has become an important issue, especially in big cities big cities that have many residents. This study proposes to build the conceptual and also prototype model in a comprehensive manner from the remote terminal unit until development method for data retrieval. We also propose using FTR-HTTP method to guarantee the delivery from remote client to server.

This paper is aimed to create implementation crawler engine or search engine using cloud computing infrastructure. This approach use virtual machines on a cloud computing infrastructure to run service engine crawlers and also for application servers. Based on our initial experiments, this research has successfully built crawler engine that runs on Virtual Machine (VM) of cloud computing infrastructure. The use of Virtual Machine (VM) on this architecture will help to ease setup or installation, maintenance or VM terminating that has been running with some particular service crawler engine as needed. With this infrastructure, the increasing or decreasing in capacity and capability of multiple engine crawlers could set easily and more efficiently.

Microfinance as a financial institution to fight poverty in rural areas faces challenges to reduce operating costs and to increase effectiveness of their business activities. Information Technology (IT) has emerged as a powerful tool to improve efficiency and effectiveness of business operations, making it viable for the microfinance sector to expand into the rural and low-income area. IT Value implementation became the important concern for the microfinance sector to improve their organizational performance in order to gain competitive advantage. Implementation of the IT value should always be evaluated and continuously improved its performance to ensure the IT application can result in the expected value, control, and aligned with the organizations strategy to get an edge competence that focuses on achieving the business objectives of the organization. This paper tries to explain IT value implementation in the microfinance sector using Enterprise Architecture then performance evaluation using the approach of financial ratios with study case in BPRSC.

Service oriented architecture (SOA) enables organizations to easily integrate systems, data, and business processes. Implementation of SOA solution in private sector is widely used and successfully proven to increase their profit. But there are different challenge in public sector which is not profit oriented and has different business model. In public sector, user satisfaction on government agencies is one of common indicator to measure quality of public service. This paper presents SOA solution for public sector using SOMA to conduct a service integration for optimizing public satisfaction. We also combined SWOT and Porters Value Chain to support business modelling analysis. The result shows that there is a simplicity and feasibility for users to access the service after SOA integration, which improves user satisfaction.

Nowadays, with the increasing use of internet, many private sectors and governments started to conduct their web applications as a part in smart city development. They were aimed to provide reliable services to the community by implementing online services with web-based approach. To ensure the sustainability of the online application on the smart city environment, the system design should pay attention on information security aspect, with three main key principles as confidentiality, integrity, and availability. This paper proposes a sequential pattern analysis on web usage, a novel intrusion detection and prevention system design, which uses Rule-Growth sequential rule-patterns algorithm to detect intrusions on user behaviors. By comparing the predefined user behavior baseline patterns to malicious patterns, the proposed model can identify the potential intrusions.

Researches on service systems have been conducted for more than a decade, resulting in concepts and knowledge of the service system. These lead to the intention of the organizations to create a service system that is able to provide service value. As the service sector grows, the organizations are required to be able to develop such a service system that gives benefits to the organizations and has an impact on performance improvement. Therefore, the organizations need a practical understanding of building service systems in the real world. This paper proposes a comprehensive and systematic framework for service systems engineering that can help organizations in developing and building the service systems. The framework elaborates two major engineering methodologies, which are service engineering and systems engineering methodology. This framework was developed through the application of systems engineering life cycle and principles into the service engineering. The result of this study can provide systematic guidance in building service systems.

This research describes the existing business process and its improvement in district public services. The method used in business process improvement was Business Process Reengineering (BPR) based on the results of the analysis of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) which is derived from the Critical Success Factor (CSF) and Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) for designing. These combination of methods was used to improve the performance of district public services through innovative ideas that will be developed in business process improvement services in order to provide solutions. One of the solution is to increase the speed of services which can be proved in increasing the speed of ID card service at 60.25 %, family card service at 58.1 % and the other residence documents service at 64.7 %. The results obtained from the simulation of business process improvement design using the service time analysis with Bizagi Modeler software.
