The following article introduces the new design and implementation of IIR multiple notch filters by the application of suitable pole placement technique. The initial step is to design the two IIR single notch filters with difference notch frequency to find suitable pole that can control the pass-band gain at 3 frequencies such as DC, pi and frequency between the notch frequency. After that, connect the IIR single notch filters with difference notch frequency in cascade to create IIR multiple notch filters which can control the pass-band gains at DC and pi frequency especially the frequency between the notch frequencies

The following paper presents the design and implementation of IIR notch filter with modified pole-zero placement algorithm. The proposed modified algorithm is derived from the least square estimation to change the pole position and find the estimated values of coefficients to control the new gain level of the pass-band. The results from the algorithm are shown, the algorithm could control the pass-band gain of the notch filter according to the specifications. The result has been simulated by using MATLAB.

The wavelet packet transform has been applied for QRS detection with squaring, window integration, and impulse filter techniques to cut down the false detection of QRS complex. This real time QRS detection has been performed on Simulink and Matlab. The correct QRS detection rates have reached to 99.75% in the experiment with 15 sets of ECG data from European ST-T database which are kept in Physionet.

This research paper presents the design of symmetrical infinite impulse response (IIR) notch filter using pole position displacement. The technique of modifying the pole-zero placements has been used in order to ensure the symmetrical of the pass-band and transition-band gain. This technique was quantitative and treated by making some meaningful approximations with a set of relatively simple design equations. From the simulation, the design examples have shown the performance of the proposed method effectively.

This paper proposes a new design of digital sweep sine oscillator that change one frequency to other frequencies that can define time of sweep sine oscillator between started to stopped frequency and especially in defining step of sweep frequency. This digital sweep sine oscillator is implemented with the discrete time system with has impulse response as sin(omegan + Phi) and conjugate poles and a pair of zeros at the origin and the real axis in the unit circle on z-plane. The sweep frequencies of oscillator was changed the pole position, which 0 - pi on circumference and changed the zero position on the real axis for the phase shift of digital sine oscillator that corresponds with the changing frequency. The design and implementation of digital sweep sine oscillator used MATLAB program and TMS320C31 digital signal processor. The experiments results have been show that the proposed design of digital sweep sine oscillator produces correct the sweep frequencies

This paper present the automatic ECG signal analysis by wavelet packet transform (WPT) along with signal squaring, window integration and frame creating to cover each cycle of ECG signal to ease the process to calculate the set on points, and set off points, and time intervals within QRS complexes, T waves and P waves. The results of QRS complex detection from automatic ECG analysis on 15 sets of ECG data from MIT-BIH Arrhythmia with total number of 31,959 beats have shown that selectivity Se = 99.79%, the positive predictivity +P = 99.58% and the detection error DER = 0.632%

This paper proposes the new two-pole band-pass filter design principle for the all-pass filter and notch filter by applying the least square. The first step is to design notch filter by using pole-zero placement and then modify pole positions to control pass-band filter gain to ensure the symmetry with the maximum gain at the target level. After that, there is the design of all-pass filter with pole at the same positions as the notch filters to make the negative cascade with the designed notch filter to get the transfer function with band-pass filter magnitude response. The results from the experiments on MATLAB have shown the two-pole band-pass filter of the new design with the accurate and symmetric gain
