Nitriles in organic synthesis: The reaction of trichloroacetonitrile with active methylene reagents

The reaction of trichloroacetonitrile with active methylene reagents such as acetylacetone, benzoylacetone, cyanoacetamide and cyanoacethydrazide is reported. A new simple route for the synthesis of polysubstituted phenols, pyrazoles and pyrroles is also described.ZusammenfassungEs wird über die Reaktionen von Trichloracetonitril mit aktiven Methylen-Reagentien wie Acetylaceton, Benzoylaceton, Cyanacetamid und Cyanacethydrazid berichtet. Ein neuer einfacher Weg für die Synthese polysubstituierter Phenole, Pyrazole und Pyrrole wird beschrieben.

Diethyl 2-Aryl-3-cyanopropene-1,1-dicarboxylates: New Versatile Precursors in Heterocyclic Synthesis

Summary. An expeditious synthetic route for the title precursor is reported. It provides access to a variety of polyfunctionally substituted pyridines, pyridazines, pyrazolopyridines, thiophenes, and thienopyridines.Zusammenfassung. Eine einfache Synthese zur Darstellung des im Titel genannten Synthons wird beschrieben. Es vermittelt den Zugang zu polyfunktionell substituierten Pyridinen, Pyridazinen, Pyrazolopyridinen, Thiophenen und Thienopyridinen.

STUDIES WITH POLYFUNCTIONALLY SUBSTITUTED HETEROAROMATICS: THE REACTIVITY OF ALKYLAZOLES TOWARDS ELECTROPHILIC REAGENTS

Abstract Several new condensed thiazoles and thiazoles and thiazoles are synthesized. The reactivity of alkylazoles towards electrophilic reagents is reported. New synthesis of thenylthiadiazoles, thiadiazo-lopyridines and pyridazines could be achieved.

The uses of 3-?-bromoacetylcoumarin in a novel syntheses of 3-(coumarin-3-yl) pyridazine and 3-(coumarin-3-yl) ketoximothiophene derivatives

Novel syntheses of bromohydrazones and ketoximes could be realized by reactions of 3-α-bromoacetylcoumarin with a variety of reagents. Such compounds reacted readily with nucleophiles to give unique heterocyclic systems.
