Do prazer ao sofrimento no trabalho da enfermagem: o discurso dos trabalhadores

Adriane Inês Kessler; Suzane Beatriz Frantz Krug

This study aimed to identify situations that cause pleasure and pain in the nursing work in two health institutions located in rural areas. This is a survey conducted at the University of Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC). The research had a qualitative approach and the data was collected through interviews with sixteen workers, later analyzed through content analysis. The results showed distress in work related to patient care, to poor working conditions and to difficulties in the relationship with the rest of the staff Pleasure in work was related to recognition by patients, to the possibility of alleviating the suffering of patients, to a good relationship with the rest of the staff to the monitoring of the family on health needs and to the answering of demands by the community. Facing suffering is possible through individual and institutional measures. A humanized look to the health of the health worker is relevant, with changes in work organization.O estudo teve como objetivo identificar situacoes causadoras de prazer e de sofrimento no trabalho da enfermagem de duas instituicoes de saude, localizadas em area rural.

Latent infection was evaluated according to the result of the tuberculin test (TT), self-referred. RESULTS among staff who had a TT, 10 (83.3%) in the central region and 2 (16.7%) in the southern region were considered reactors. Length of employment among prison officers who reacted to TT was 15.3 years, and among health care workers, 4.1 years (p = 0.01). No cases of active tuberculosis (TB) were identified. ABSTRACT Objective: to compare the scores of knowledge in teams participating or not participating in educational interventions about pressure ulcers. Method: a quantitative study with experimental design. Data were collected through a validated questionnaire. The study included 71 individuals, including nurses and nursing technicians from three intensive care units, divided into intervention group and control group. Data analysis considered the scores of the groups in the moment before and after intervention. To check the average rate of correct answers, we calculated the mean and standard deviation. We carried out the Mann-Whitney test for analysis of two independent samples, and the Wilcoxon test for related samples. Results: The mean percentage of correct answers, at the baseline was 74.1% (SD = 26.4) in the intervention group and 76.0% (SD = 22.9) in the control group and post time -intervention, was 87.8% (SD = 18.8) in the group receiving educational intervention, considering that in the control group it was 79.1% (SD = 22.2). The group that participated in educational interventions did not reach the proper average of 90% correct answers for the test. Conclusion: educational interventions on staging, evaluation and prevention of pressure ulcers contributed significantly to the increase of correct responses score in the knowledge test of the intervention group and improved their knowledge on the subject.

Tássia Silvana Borges; Pâmela Ferreira Todendi; Edna Linhares Garcia; Suzane Beatriz Frantz Krug

Introduction: The health pact, a 3-level partnership of the government, greatly contributed to the improvement of services offered to the population. In this context, it fitted into the reorganization of Mental Health Centers, which had new population coverage targets. Objectives: Identify the care coverage of the mental health centers in Brazilian states registered at the website of the Ministry of Health from 2010 to 2012. Material and Methods: This is an ecological study using a retrospective cross-sectional. The units that composed the analysis were from all Brazilian states. We sought to investigate the state coverage of mental health centers using DATASUS database. The analysis was performed by comparing indicators released by the Ministry of Health, and the results were presented at the DATASUS website. Results: In the period studied, it was observed that the coverage of mental health centers presented an average ranged from good to very good. Conclusion: In general, it can be said that most states achieved an increased coverage during the study period. We found that the mental health centers were becoming best-known and sought by the population. Achieving the optimal coverage targets in the country can represent the victory of much of the population.
