High field ESR measurements of charge transfer salts under high pressure

High field ESR measurements have been performed on (Dl-DCNQI) 2 Ag single crystals at 1.9 K under I bar and 2.4 kbar in the frequency region from 70 to 160 GHz using the pulsed magnetic field up to 8 T. This compound undergoes the antiferromagnetic transition at T N = 5.5 K and the antiferromagnetic resonance (AFMR) was observed under 1 bar. The AFMR was also observed under 2.4 kbar and the zero-field antiferromagnetic gap is found to be reduced under pressure. The origin of this result is discussed.

Temperature dependence millimeter wave ESR measurements of Et2Me2P[Pd(dmit)2]2 ☆

Abstract Temperature dependence millimeter wave ESR measurements of Et 2 Me 2 P[Pd(dmit) 2 ] 2 single crystals have been performed in the temperature region from 4.2 to 70xa0K. Below T N =18xa0K, the resonance field shifts and the linewidth increases for B // c suggesting the antiferromagnetic transition proposed previously. However, the temperature dependence of the resonance below T N cannot be explained completely by that of the conventional antiferromagnetic resonance (AFMR).

High-field ESR measurements of quantum spin system under high pressure

Abstract We have developed a new high-field and low-temperature ESR system under high pressure. Using this system, several different quantum spin systems have been studied. We will report about the result of the high-field ESR measurements of hexagonal ABX3-type compound CsCuCl3 for B||c under pressure. The increase of the critical field was observed for the first time by our high-field ESR measurement under 3.2 kbar . The origin of the increase of the critical field by pressure in CsCuCl3 will be discussed.

ESR measurements of (DMe-DCNQI)2Li

X-band ESR measurements have been performed on a (DMe-DCNQI) 2 Li single crystal in the temperature region from 3 K to 300 K. Electron paramagnetic resonance was observed in the whole temperature region. An abrupt decrease of the integrated intensity was observed below around 50 K which is consistent with the previous magnetic susceptibility measurement result. Magnetic one dimensionality of the system is discussed by the temperature dependence of g-values and linewidths in connection with the 2k F and 4k F transitions in (DMe-DCNQI) 2 Li.

High field ESR measurements of Me4As[Pd(dmit)2]2

High field ESR measurements of Mott-Hubbard insulator Me 4 As[Pd(dmit) 2 ] 2 have been performed in the frequency region from 50 to 315 GHz using the pulsed magnetic field up to 15 T. Broad and sharp resonances were observed in the temperature region from 1.8 to 77 K. The origins of these resonances were discussed from the temperature and frequency dependences in connection with the antiferromagnetic order suggested by H-NMR at 35 K.
