This report presents a case of embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma (eRMS) located in the left maxillary sinus and invading the orbital cavity in a ten-year-old male patient who was treated at a referral hospital. The images provided from the computed tomography showed a heterogeneous mass with soft-tissue density, occupying part of the left half of the face inside the maxillary sinus, and infiltrating and destroying the bone structure of the maxillary sinus, left orbit, ethmoidal cells, nasal cavity, and sphenoid sinus. An analysis of the histological sections revealed an undifferentiated malignant neoplasm infiltrating the skeletal muscle tissue. The immunohistochemical analysis was positive for the antigens: MyoD1, myogenin, desmin, and Ki67 (100% positivity in neoplastic cells), allowing the identification of the tumour as an eRMS. The treatment protocol included initial chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy and finally surgery. The total time of the treatment was nine months, and in 18-mo of follow-up period did not show no local recurrences and a lack of visual impairment.

Lymphangioma is a benign congenital malformation of the lymphatic tissue that occurs predominantly in children and clinically presents as a soft painless swelling, compressible of oral mucosa. Usually affects male individuals and the most common intraoral location is the tongue. Surgical excision is the treatment of choice and the prognosis is good. It is describes a case of lymphangioma in a non-caucasian 82 years old female. Intra-oral examination revealed the presence of reddish papules, with 0.5 cm in diameter, painless, flaccid consistency and smooth surface in the anterior hard palate. Excisional biopsy was performed and the histopathologic diagnosis was lymphangioma. After seven months follow-up, the patient has no recurrence of the lesion.

Introduction: Pemphigus vulgaris is an autoimmune disease characterized by ulcerative and bullous lesions on skin and mucous membranes. The aim of this paper is to report a case of oral pemphigus vulgaris, emphasizing the treatment and discuss some clinical and histopathologic features of this disease. Case Report: The patient is a 38year-old male, feodermic, who was referred to a specialized service in oral diagnosis in the city of João Pessoa – Paraíba State, complains of multiple ulcerative lesions in the oral cavity, dysphagia, dysphonia, and marked weight loss. The diagnostic hypotheses were pemphigus vulgaris and mucous membrane pemphigoid. An incisional biopsy was performed on buccal mucosa and the diagnosis of the pemphigus vulgaris was made. Initially, the treatment of choice was systemic administration of prednisone 80 mg. In the first weeks, a remission of the oral lesions occurred. The dosage was gradually reduced to the current dose of 2.5 mg/day. Conclusion: Treatment was effective, once there was remission of all oral lesions. Descriptors: Pemphigus; Treatment; Diagnosis; Mouth Mucosa.
