Demonstration of the diffraction patterns from the two-dimensional Bravais lattice has been studied by use of the two single line lattice grating sheets and a laser pointer. A variable two-dimensional lattice grating was prepared using two grating sheets which are closely attached to each other. The five types of two-dimensional Bravais lattices can be produced by adjusting the relative angle between two single line lattices. The light diffraction patterns from the two-dimensional Bravais lattices indicate the reciprocal lattices of these basic two-dimensional lattice structures.

本研究は, 学習者が実験データを科学的に解釈する態度を養うことを目的とする指導方法の提案とその授業実践を試みた。前年度の研究を踏まえ, 科学的解釈の場における中学生への学習指導の取り組みを3つの要点にまとめた。 ○ 学習者に, 実験データがもつ誤差や連続性などの測定値としての意味の認識を深めさせる ○ 科学的根拠を示すために持ち得ていない知識や手法を提示し, 学習者にその習得を行わせる ○ 科学的解釈の場となる場面であることを学習者に提示する これらの3つの要点を活かすための特徴的な4つの指導場面をとりいれた授業実践を行った。 その結果, 中学生は測定値を誤差がある値として認識し, 実験の設定, 方法, グラフ作成, 読み取り方など様々な場面において, 科学的な解釈を行う力を持ち得ていた。中学生は科学的分析や考察の手法, 知識といったものを十分には持ち得ていないが, 指導者が, 学習者の知識や技能・能力を十分に把握して, 持ち得ない知識や手法に対しては, それを補いながら科学的な解釈や考察場面を設定し, 思考力などの育成に努めていくことで, 中学生においても科学的に解釈する態度を養うことが可能であると考察した。

Magnetic properties of the several magnetic alloys and compounds were studied for the development of the teaching materials in the material science education by using a hand made high temperature magnetic balance. Magnetism treated were ferro-, para- and antiferromagnetism and magnetic phase transitions among them. Together with the data of resistivity, the possibility of the teaching materials concerning the material scie.nce education will he discussed.
