Electric vehicles charger as a part of home area network

Václav Kaczmarczyk; Petr Fiedler; Radek Štohl; Zdeněk Bradáč

With increasing oil price and environment pollution, especially in large cities, electric vehicles are getting to be more interesting than they were several years ago. Using electric vehicles in cities and large agglomerations lead to less pollution caused by common cars combustion engines (nitrogen oxides, carbon oxides, dust particles). Electric vehicles are more considerate to the environment than traditional cars even when the energy produced by non-renewable energy resources is used for their charging. The lack of the infrastructure prevents electric vehicles spreading. This paper describes standards and ideas how to integrate electric vehicle charger to the home area network. Home area network is a local part of SmartGrid network usually situated in homes. All devices connected to this network should implement several specifications. Basic requirements to charger properties are summarized.

The device and data integration description through ontology

Michal Sir; Zdenek Bradac; Václav Kaczmarczyk; Karel Stibor

Abstract The paper shows the description of ontology which solves several issues. The first section of the paper shows general theory about ontology. We mention the definition of ontology and its use in automation technique. The OWL DL language which is mentioned in the first section is described here for our following work. The second part of the text shows the solution of two issues. The first one is the solution of the industrial automation device description. The article shows possible ways to the creation of the device description through the using of ontology. The second issue is a work with a lot of data which are used by modern devices. The paper shows a part of ontology which is used for data integration.

Localization techniques and nanoLOC TRX system

Václav Kaczmarczyk; Zdeněk Bradáč; Karel Stibor

Abstract The aim of this paper is the test of wireless localization modules nanoLOC TRX. These modules shall be embedded into complex electronic system placed on fireman helmet. Through static anchors placed in the environment and possibly with cooperation with other similar systems, information about the fireman location is transferred to the base station. The theoretical part of this paper shows several localization methods and techniques in the following, nanoLOC TRX hardware and configuration is briefly described. The performance and reliability of modules is measured in the real environment. The paper shows test results and evaluation.

Industrial comunication in distillation column model

Radek Štohl; Václav Kaczmarczyk

This paper introduces the model of distillation column for the steam distillation. After the introduction of a steam distillation process, the model description and list of actuators and sensors is mentioned and described. In the last chapter brief overview of model control is shown.

On simulation methods for timed automata

Václav Kaczmarczyk; Zdeněk Bradáĕ; Michal Ser

Abstract In the paper the idea of timed automata simulator is introduced. The proposed simulator is an extension of the UPPAAL tool simulator. Instead of choosing transition to be performed randomly or manually, the simulator calculates transition times according to transition guard and state invariant for each transition. Described procedure can reveal realistic behavior of the system modeled by the automaton. To reach the target, an extension of timed automata formal is proposed. Within the paper the concept of a state-space tracing is shown on a case-study.
